At what point will people stop saying we’ve never had it so good?

91,87,84,82, and 81 were all better seasons than anything Redknapp has been involved in.

I would also argue the first Klinsmann season 94/95 was also more exciting.

Have we ever had it so good? Yes definitely. But blimey it was a long time ago.

Spurs is the sugar years were the epitomy of mediocre. It was very painful. Fair play to Levy and Harry for getting us back to where we belong.

However having said that we havent won anything under Harry which IMO is still what football is all about.

Klinsmann's first season was more exciting than playing in the champions league? Drop me out.

Was for me. Maybe I'm just getting old but apart from the Milans the champions league weren't that great. Thought most of last season certainly from Feb onwards was a bit of a bore tbh. Opinions and all that.

Yeah, finishing 7th with Gerry Francis in charge and getting fucked by a shite Everton team in the FA Semi pisses all over last year.

Congrats on signing Hazard by the way Jay.

I said in terms of excitement.

From the 12 point being docked to signing a true world class player and the excitement of hearing on the radio that we had signed Klinsmann! To his debut at a packed Vicarage road to him scoring on his full debut in a typical spurs type win at Sheffield Wednesday. The season was a complete roller coaster. Southampton away in the cup also springs to mind.

It was an exciting season and IMO more so than the CL season. but a very disappointing one in the end. After 95 with the exception of Ginola and the league cup win we were shit for another 10 years approx.

Chelsea have signed Hazard?! Not that bothered to be honest he seems a bit of a prick and will fit in well with the others at Stamford bridge. Hate them.

I want Spurs to fight like lions in every game, nick last minute winners at Old Trafford and crush mid-table teams by 5 or 6. I want us to sign great young talent in the transfer market, develop our youth system to produce world class players and develop the club commercially so we can compete sustainably with the best teams in the world. I want all these things and think we should strive for them, but I also recognise we have been sh*t or mediocre for large stretches of the last 20 years, to the extent that mediocre sort of became the norm. The last three years (and to a lesser extent Jol's tenure) have been great.
