Would absolutely love this, a dream signing IMO.

Not getting hopes up though. Just waiting for JJ to piss all over this :(

Who said there was a chance we were going in for a player with lots of letters in his name? Griezmann is not quite Schneiderlin, but still...

The dream signing this window!

Can see Levy going all out for this kid if Poch wants him, and even think we could attract him if we wanted.

-We are a bigger club than Sociedad.

-We have his national captain on our team

-Levy have shown he will pay up if he feel there is a good deal to be had, like with Lamela. This guy is only getting better and at just 23 yo its not much risk attached.

-Our most likel rivals would be Liverpool and Arsenal and they have bought several players in similar positions this window.

Liverpool - Markovic about to sign, Lallana done. Don't know why they'd want him.
Arsenal - Already stacked at LW. Pod, Sanchez, Ox, Cazorla, Ozil.
Chelsea - No more CAM's needed lol.
United - have their front 4 pretty much sorted.
City - Same as Chelsea

Real Madrid - Will pursue bigger targets if Di Maria leaves (James Rodriguez probably)
Barca - front line sorted with Suarez involved.

Bayern - don't need.
Dortmund - Goes against their tranfer policy, and they have Reus.

PSG - Could be after him, and have the resources, but already have quite a few AM's. (Lucas, Lavezzi). One of them will be sold if they go for Griezmann.

So, in my eyes, it's basically between us and PSG. If PSG, want him then they'll get him, but if they decide to look elsewhere, I think we might be in with a chance.

The teams I see who could potentially go in for him are PSG, Milan, Juve, Utd and maybe Atletico. PSG would be my guess as I can't see them passing up the chance to sign one of France's hottest young prospects regardless of whether or not they need him.

You need to remember that you're discounting Madrid because you think they will go after James, but then that means Monaco are ahead of us in the race for Griezmann too

I doubt James will leave Monaco this summer and Griezmann is similar in some ways to Jese who they rate very highly in Madrid and is also a fan favourite. I wouldn't put anything past Madrid but I can't see them getting him.

I mean if Madrid sign James then Monaco will go after Griezmann?

I'm sure I read a comment from Griezmann that he didn't want to play in the French league, I know he said he'd prefer to stay in La Liga and he'd love Real Madrid ahead of Barca but as far as I've seen and heard Barca have no interest and Real seem to be thinking about Rodriguez.

Signing him would add weight to Lamela, it's a gamblers worst nightmare. Levy "I've spunked 30mil on Lamela, I may as well do another 20 on the Frenchie too"

Which transfer policy is that?

Cool, just tell him the quickest way to get a dream move to Real Madrid is to join the club with a 'special relationship' with them, and play out of your skin for a couple of seasons.

Milan aren't the same team as they once were currently and aren't even in Europe this coming season. Juve looks like they have other targets such as Morata and Iturbe. Atletico have just spent big on Mandzukic, already have Turan and are in major debt. Utd seem as though they are targeting players elsewhere however you can't discount them yet. Therefore it could be between Monaco, PSG, possibly Utd and us.

Cosby see this happening right in the wake of Lamela's difficult time, they'd be very similar signings

There is a rumor that Markovic don't want to go to Liverpool anymore.
PSG could go for him, but their main target is Di Maria.
And I don't see Griezmann in really big clubs (Real, Barca, Bayern) he's not that good atm.

Actually he is that good at the moment, he really shines in La Liga, outscored both Bale and Neymar last season
