AVB chose his words carefully but you could tell he had a real bad taste in his mouth when talking about Real.

Times like this, I miss Harry.

I love him...but I'm worried about all these new signings.......if they don't perform and get results then it's AVB who will be under pressure then..........

If he was going to get one of the top jobs in Spain he'd be a better fit for Barça than Real anyway.

If you compare managers to watches AVB is a Patek Philippe where Jose is a Breitling. Both expensive, very nice and do exactly the same job but one is understated and quietly cool while the other is louder and more extravagant.

To continue the analogy, Wenger is a £9 casio, was great but is very dated

I know sod all about watches, but I think we all know what time it is!!

Agree with this. Wenger is brilliant at what he does still play one of the best brands of football in the world - Needs a help with transfers though.

AVB could be if he wants, the next Wenger from a success point of view and he's also better with zips.

How would you know that. Does he flash you?

indeed it's a lot of new players, who are also new to the league and dont speak the language thrown together. It could take awhile to gel.
Levy will be patient I think but will the fans? Lose at him to Norwich a week on saturday and I'm sure the idiots will be booing

Andre's a class act. Reminds me of Ancelotti in some ways. Given that the club is selling Bale having given assurances otherwise, and has given him Lamela and Eriksen (fingers crossed) instead of Hulk and Willian, he's done well to keep his counsel, and to keep the team in some sort of shape while all this has been going on. He must be a bit upset that the club isn't springing for those full-grown players while we have the chance, but can you imagine what Harry would be like with this much attention and money being chucked around?

We'd have put in a £23million bid for agbonlahor instead of benteke at the start of the window.

I think this season is the real test for AvB.
Levy spent, the squad is almost FM-like and you can see the team playing a tatical game. As a coach i can't see how he could ask for more for now.
If we fail it would fall solely on his head. This is pressure he must love.
He is operating from a great position so can't see him leaving voluntarily.

I just wish when he was being interviewed somebody would stand behind him and start thumping him on the back when he starts "erm-ing", some of the erms could fill a 15 minute slot, other than that everything is great.

He'll stick with this project now that he's got his players.

We're in London, the best training facilities in the world, we have a new stadium coming, a chairman who will give him anything he wants and amazing fans.

What more could a manager need?

I'm sure I read the casio is a favourite for IEDs as they are so reliable
This isn't a joke. I did my compulsory service in the Norwegian Armed Forces training to be in the EOD, you are 100% correct.

However this only reinforces the Wenger - Casio theory, doesn't it?

Hi comments last night prior to the game were first class. Especially the bit where he refused to take any credit for Bale's development, instead heaping praise on the team for their influence on him, and also the bit about calling players up too early to the England squad. Love him.

A bit of colour isn't a bad thing. Harry says what's on his mind which isn't always a bad thing either. I'd know he would have teared him into Perez and Zidane.

Redknapp barely spoke out against Chelsea when they were chasing Modric, remained impartial and was happy to let Levy take all the stick.
