Of course the media have a lot to do with it, i know lots of idiots who believe everything they read.

And who has been saying AVB will get sacked? No one

Who has been saying AVB may leave for PSG or Real? Everyone

So even if you're right, which I don't believe you are, it will be because of the latter, not the former, as I said

Has to be Hughes or Bruce.

DiCanio at 12-1 is interesting,... Allardyce at 40-1?!!!! gotta be worth a fiver there.... and yes there's Hughes and Bruce at 22-1...

Holloway and Mackay have to be considered with newly promoted teams... :jimlad:

Wrong, it one story following another and there will always be idiots who believe them all.

Don't know what the fuss is about. It's not the bookmakers having any ITK just a question of them playing the percentages. Whoever is Spurs manager or Chelsea manager are always likely candidates for the chop based on historical precedents...see the thread about AVB retiring young and how many people mention that if he stays 3 yrs at Spurs that will seem Fergieesque for us

I think it's an indication that fans of other clubs still have little confidence in AVB. Certainly the knee-jerk idiots most susceptible to betting markets like that. So the likelihood is that fans of other clubs have bought into the drivel and bile propagated by Adrian Durham, Paul Jiggins and others and believe he is a) genuinely vulnerable and b) likely to have a bad start to the new season.

That's 4 x £10 that you're almost certain to make back IMO.

If I was a betting man I would have a wager on Moyes
Has to be Hughes or Bruce.

I can't agree with Moyes being even a slight contender. Fergie wants Man Utd to have this reputation for keeping managers for a long time, and Man Utd fans you speak to are very proud of this tradition they have and to a man say that even if Moyes falls outside the top 3 he will stay. If he struggles Fergie will ensure he's given time; he still holds so much sway.

I also have an inkling Bruce will last the season for some reason.

Totally agree with this.

Allardyce is great value. True, they had a pretty great season by their standards but a few teams that would be expected to finish above them had very poor campaigns. Also you have the likes of znorwich and Southampton chasing and acquiring quality players who could quite easily leapfrog them.

Look through West Ham's first XI, not much, if any, real quality there. 40-1 is a pretty good price.

Plus Spammer fans have done nothing but complain about Big Sam's tactics and style... won't take much of a poor start to crank the pressure up early in the season.

Media expect AVB to spend big.
Spending big equals greater expectation.
Greater expectation equals greater risk of the chop.

Mark Hughes is worth a punt. Terrible manager and stoke's players are terrible technically and won't adapt to a 'non-long ball' type game.

Stoke to be relegated IMO
