Keep on hating bitches! AVB will still keep proving his worth.

Do you go to the lane? After the initial euphoria, optimism and the false hope that this shit we were forced to endure was actually leading us somewhere, faded, the atmosphere was poisonous.
He was dog shit Bro. A cancer that was eating away at the supporters. Bullshit football, bullshit results, considering the team he had, and If you believe the papers excuse ridden.
Early days, but the team already looks so much more cohesive after just 5 games under Poch.
I have no animosity towards him and I hope he does well in Russia, but I don't rate him as a coach.

Half right. We did have a cancer as manager last season. You're wrong in thinking it was AVB. Sherwood was the cancer. But I am not going to get into this on this thread.

AVB is a good manager, IMO. If he wasnt so rigid, he would have worked out here, IMO

You mean that same crowd that was already booing him and his team on barely half time of the second home game of his tenure?

The crowd at the Lane simply didn't gave him a chance, the atmosphere being poisonous was more like (one of) the reason(s) behind his failure than the effect of it.

WWW.AVBCOMMUNITY.CO.UK........ I think you will like it better over there dude.

Yeah, but what if I don't? I just can't take that risk, I better stay here were its warm and cozy and I already know I can always get on some people's nerves just by doing something as honest as stating my genuine support for someone as awesome and inspiring as Andre Vilas-Boas turned out to be.

I think by and large if AVB was actually attempting to play progressive/positive football with quick transitions he would have been supported by the majority and the moaning would have decreased. He was right to point out the fans were shit and that that it created a poisonous but he must have known that the football being played was a catalyst to the fans reactions.

That's also known as trolling.

I don't understand the cult status AVB seems to have gained on this forum. He was only with us for 18 months and I don't see any other threads for former managers etc who were with us for longer and far more successful. It's very weird.

He seemed like a decent guy, but if I'm honest I couldn't really give shit what he's doing now.

Sorry darling, but stating a honest opinion can never be trolling. And finding amusing how some of you just can't stand the thought of someone not hating AVB on this forum is not trolling either. But nice try!

Taking aside that nonsense about him not trying to play progressive/positive football (just because it hadn't been achieved yet doesn't mean it wasn't being tried), we're talking here about a bunch of so called fans who were already creating a negative atmosphere for the new management before the third game of the season had even been finished (the transfers market hadn't even closed if I remember correctly), and all that moaning was probably ignited by us been unlucky on the previous two games by receiving late goals from Newcastle and West Brom (something AVB actually corrected as the season went on). So that leaves me with only either of two conclusions to be reached:

a. The fans at the Lane are clearly irrational people who lack the slightest bit of sensitivity to understand that any new management requires some time to get things right.

or, what I think the real situation actually was:

b. The fans at the Lane wanted AVB out from the very first moment and were simply unwilling to give him a chance.

Ok bro. May I ask you two questions. How long do you think we should of given to AVB to transition from the football he made us endure to a more entertaining brand? Did you enjoy watching us under AVB?

Don't know why you're asking me this as it wasn't the point of the discussion, but I will answer anyway:

- I would have given him the rest of last season to see if he was able to turn things around or to correct whatever mistakes we were making, or to make something happen out of the cups. Had he been able to do so, I guess I would have liked for him to sign a 2 year extension (making it three more years under him).

- I enjoyed around 50% to 70% of the matches we played under him and have some great memories of that era. I do think most of the cup matches we played under him were terribly boring, but I found most of the league matches to be quite entertaining, and a few of those were as fun as some of our best times under Harry.

Don't call me darling, sweetheart.

It's not that I cant stand it at all, I just find it obscure, that someone could love someone so much who provided so little in such a short space of time. It's a bit like the Pavlyuchenko love-in we used to have, never understood that either, but as you admitted to never having been to watch us play live, it's also not an opinion that I am surprised you have, t'internet is a funny old place as they say, especially when used to form opinions.
