Charlie should've kept his yap shut.

But BAE was the one that raised his hands - he was already on a yellow, and if the ref had seen it would have been off. He would have cost us the game.

That's completely unacceptable, especially given how vital the points are with the table standing as it is. I'm well aware that many will see this as an overreaction, but if I was manager I'd be telling him to sort his attitude out or fuck off. For me, the team should come above personal ego every time. You're playing for Spurs, not yourself.

I swear Dawson was stood between them when the ref called them over?

Yeah, when the ref called them over. I'd rather he sorted it out without the ref acting as peacemaker. It was unnecessary from BAE and Charlie, I hoped to see Dawson tell them to focus and shut the hell up (as much as I dislike him, as one would expect Terry to do). The following 20 minutes were not pretty, and extremely disjointed. If Stoke were a little bit more clinical we could have been down 2-1. Luckily (and with some skill too of course) we came away with the 3 points.

My issue is i've seen a lack of mental toughness too often from our team that costs us silly points. Its a testament to our skill and talent that we are right in the mix for the 4th spot, but we could be so much better with being tougher (preferably on opponents rather than teammates).

All due respect to Ricardo Fuller for pushing them apart too. He can be a dirty bastard at times, but he has to be given credit for that. Very decent.

He wasn't.

He got the yellow from the penalty that was just after the pushing.

Guess it depends on what Corluka said and how he said it.

Appreciate the fair play from Fuller, going in between them.
He could easily have let it escalate, which might have had the ref sending someone off.

I thought that was good off him specially as he was involved in similar incident at West Ham last season which he was sent off for! Also appreciated him missing a near open goal thought that was very sporting of him!

He'd probably just tell them that if they didn't behave, their wives would be next on his hit list.

My mistake. Checked the cards shortly after and must have missed benny being booked at the pen. I don't blame BAE for the pen at all as it goes - looked like a tangle, just one of those things.

IMO, I don't care what Charlie said unless it was racist or he dissed his mum. You don't raise your hands to a teammate, end of.

What if it was a racist jibe aimed at his mum...?

Or maybe Corkula asked him why the fuck he would choose to represent Cameroon over France...?

Lol. Nice try Harry. I'm no lip-reader, but it looked like fairly basic anglo-saxon to me. :-D

Why was Charlie getting in BAE's face? Although what BAE did was wrong, Charlie was being aggressive and invaded BAE's personal space. I think anyone's natural reaction would be to push someone away who was coming at them like that.

Charlie certainly ain't blameless by any means, but it was Benny that raised his hands, risked getting sent off for it, and risked costing us vital points.

Not that this is exactly the same but the old Leeds side used to regularly fight during 5 a sides at training. Some believe that it was something that placed them aside from from most other teams at the time....the passion and commitment. On todays fracas I would say that BAE had just had a decent shot when Corluka moaned at him for not retaining the ball with another pass.....if you have played the game you would have experienced such a verbal exchange hundreds of times....in this case BAE was actually close enough to push him....not smart and foolish in the professional game. Fortuneately they are usually on different sides of the pitchEek

BAE was not meant to be that high up the pitch when we have an attacking corner apparently and Charlie let him know. Just glad there wasn't a red card, always think that is ridiculous when it is players on the same team

Don't see the big deal really, this stuff happens on training grounds all the time (Keane/Davids) (O Hara/Brown) (Dalmat/O Hara) for example, its part and parcel of an adreneline fuelled environment
