As much of a cult hero he is, I still think he is over rated.

I don't mean that in a horrible way, I fully support him, but honestly don't see what the majority of spurs fans see with him.

Consistant at times, ropey at others.

IMO, he just has a quality and intelligence which contributes to our overall play. I like the fact that he looks to create from the back instead of thumping the ball to safety. I wonder how many of our goals come from his foresight at the back, where other players might have instead gone for row Z.

That said, he's never going to be the most solid defender in the world.

The boy is class, every player will lose the ball occasionally. He hardly ever does it but when he does it's always picked up for some reason. I'm very happy at having benny as our left back.

But, whenever I hear any player who supports anyone else but Spurs, they think he is generally shit for a left back.

Surely, it can't always be biased? (not that thats my reasonings behind it!).

I'm not picking up on any faults he makes at all, think you are misunderstanding me slightly.

Just don't see that class, consistant at times I see, but nothing to suggest he is a cut above the rest.

One of my mates is a Liverpool fan and watches loads of spurs games around mine and rates benny as one of our best players the only time he criticised him was when he thought pienaar was BAE!

Fair play to him, as I said it might be fans simply being biased.

Don't get me wrong, I don't roll over and agree, I like him, he is consistant, just not sure whether he is that good.

Kinda overrated by spurs fans in my opinion, if that makes any sense.

It was a pretty minor error anyway and there were still loads of chances to stop them scoring.
I think we are much too harsh. I play a couple of times a week and i make much worse mistakes than that in every game, which i think makes me more tolerant. Ok I am not being paid, but if i were it wouldnt make me any better!
Of course, if one of our players scores an own goal against Arsenal, that won't be true.
