At this moment in time definitely BAE. He has his faults but he works hard for the team and we're defensively more solid for having him in the team.
IMO Bale at the moment is in a similar position to Huddlestone. Huge amount of ability but needs to work seriously hard at many aspects of his game before he can become an effective Premiership player. Whether he fulfils this potential is up to him really.
I don't think we'll see Bale making much of an impact for at least a couple of seasons.

No competition here IMO. Definitely BAE. Bale is much better as LW/LM and I don't see him ever coming a good enough LB in the Prem, althought he is still young. But IMO we should play him where he seems to be in his best position and make him even better there!
