I thought BAE was going to be on his way out in the summer. He has proved me completely wrong. He is good defensively, can get forward and support Modric and has improved his positioning this season. Our back 4 has improved so much over the last few months - mainly because we are keeping the same 4, but BAE has been one of the real positives of our season.

When I was in the pub today I heard a load of United and Everton fans chatting about fantasy football & they were discussing BAE, saying he's a brilliant player.

Its telling when other fans notice a player in such a way.

He has definately developed into an outstanding LB. If he can keep his concentration he is one of the best LB's in the prem.

I think he has LB locked up, and i think Gareth will really struggle to fight for that position.

He won't get it, but he deserves to be the left back in the Pfa team of the year. Evra has been hit and miss, Clichy has been poor and Cole is probably the closest contender. Let's see, but Assou Ekotto's emergence has saved us a fortune. That Commoli looks pretty good now doesn't he.

can't believe they stuck Jose Enrique there too, he's been one of Newcastle's best and most reliable players (not that it's saying much, but still) after a shaky start

Didnt rate him at all tbh... But every week we are seeing an improvement in his positioning and attacking ability, can't ask for too much more

after his comments about leaving we'll see what happens in the summer because no doubt the likes of lyon will be watching him after talking about him returning to france this summer. hopefully it doesnt happen because he has had a great season and only seems to be getting better

I think Bale will be pushed into the left of midfield or even centrally, where people are realizing he can play.
We should still look at bringing in a younger guy to keep BAE on his toes.
Someone like A.Traore or Obradovic would be ideal.

Great idea. A.Traore is very good. Don't know the other player you mention but if he's as good as Armand, why not.

He is showing the form that he had in his first pre-season with us. Shows how important giving players time and belief is. I think the settled line up and formation also helps, he is linking up well with Luka, and his defending is improving a lot. And the afro is awesome

I wasnt a fan of his, after his performances since our upturn of form now I am. He was immense yesterday.
