The following says it all really. Their media sounds as bad as ours. Fucking idiots.

When it came to media coverage, Spanish newspaper Marca was the outlet which shouted loudest - vociferous in trying to unsettle the player and undermine Tottenham's attempts to keep him.
So it should come as a surprise - or perhaps it's inevitable really - that a journalist from the publication is the first to question Bale's aptitude to Madrid.

It is way to early to write him off, but I think it's going to be really tough for him. How's Modric doing btw ?

It was obvious really when you think about it but I honestly Gareth Bale has made a mistake in joining Ronaldo Madrid.

Watched the game last night and it really hit home for me. Every set piece was taken by Ronaldo. Everytime Madrid players looked for Ronaldo when an attacking oportunity arrives.

I cannot see where Bale is going to fit in. It's absolutely bizarre why Madrid signed him in the first place. They quite simply do not need him.

It would of been much better for Bale to stay at spurs for another 2 seasons or so and be the main man. He is going to be completely over shadowed by Ronaldo and can only see it going one way for him.

Another point is that the Spanish league is poor in comparison to the premier league. Don't care what people say the vast majority of clubs in the Spanish league are tin pot. How is this going to improve his game?!

As for brand Bale surely he would of been better off playing in the biggest game of the season yesterday in front of proper football fans in a white hot atmosphere being watched by millions all over the world. Instead he was on the periphery of a game that was quite frankly poor. And as for the atmosphere for a derby?! It looked like it was being played in front of tourists and seemed to lack passion compared to WHL yesterday.

You have made a huge mistake Mr Bale.

yeah, but 300k a week.

He'll flop and be back at Utd or City within 2 years. But who cares, he stopped being one of us when he 'went on strike'.

out of squad for tomorrows game with a muscle injury

hasn't started well for him but we did expect him to be in Ronaldo's shadow, the injuries are just adding injury to insult

he started very slowly with us as well, its a new country for him and all that - not sure if he moved his whole family to Madrid but did read somewhere he did.

personally I don't think he'll be a success as long as Ronaldo there also, I expect him to be in Manchester inside 2 years

This is what can happen when you instruct a player (and he obliges) to not have a pre season in order to force a move and then for political reasons you play him when he clearly isn't fit.

He and Real Madrid only have themselves to blame.

I have no doubt there'll soon be an article blaming THFC for his poor start to life in Madrid....because we dragged the transfer out all summer ,causing Bale to miss preseason.
IIRC Modric did exactly that.

"He had a small problem in the warm-up. We can't say it's a [serious] injury," Ancelotti said following Bale's aborted home debut against Getafe. "He was not comfortable or relaxed so I preferred to avoid any problems and wait and see. I think that the pre-season was very unusual and not just in the physical aspect but also the mental aspect; he has waited a long time [to join Madrid]. I think that is the problem."

It's obviously our fault. We're evil scum who have tried, yet mercifully failed, to destroy ickle old Real "Rebel Alliance" Madrid and Gareth "Princess Leia" Bale.

Just you bastards wait until we've built the Death Star!

Latest statement on the injury. Karma kicking in?

I also saw a somewhat unbelievable article stating that RM are disappointed with his performances so far and think they may have made a mistake too and are thinking of putting him on their next transfer list!

On the other hand, it's said that his girlfriend and baby are moving to Madrid. Perhaps he's having more trouble settling in than he anticipated.

Rumours abound as usual...

Gareth Bale has been diagnosed with a muscle contracture in his left thigh and Real Madrid admit they do not yet know how long he will be out of action for.

Bale has been struggling with injury since he arrived in the Spanish capital following his world-record transfer from Tottenham, and has appeared in just two league games so far.

He had already been ruled out of Wednesday's Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen but this latest diagnosis suggests a longer absence.

"After the tests carried out today, the player Gareth Bale has been diagnosed with a muscle contracture in his left thigh," said a statement on the Real Madrid website. "It remains to be seen how the condition develops."

He is likely to miss Saturday's La Liga game at Levante and may not be able to join up with Wales for their World Cup qualifiers at home to Macedonia on October 11 and away to Belgium four days later.

I have never wanted a team to fail as much as I want Real Madrid to fail....(except Woolwich and the Chavs)
Classless puddle of shit.

Be interesting to see how long the missing pre-season stays a viable excuse...doubt he'll get a very long period of grace.

As smarmy and up-themselves as I find Barca at times, I have to agree. Barca to win it all before those buttplugs in Madrid.

Mon Atleti basiclly.

Yep. Maybe he was actually injured after all though? I can think of no other reason, but horrible unprofessionalism, by GB or his peeps not organising some individual conditioning during his 2 month hold out this summer to at least minimize the chance of picking up early-season injuries when the move did finally happen.

So he really was injured or just didn't bother to get in shape properly to try and get his "dweeeeeeeam move" off to the best possible start.

They bought him for marketing purposes and if he fails to perform and live up to his reputation as one of the best players in the world and do everything they tell him to do, he will be out.

I thought they and his mum and dad moved to Madrid when he did

The only people who will come out of this transfer well are his agents and Daniel Levy

I don't doubt that he probably does have injury issues, and, as you say, he has nobody to blame but himself if he didn't keep up his fitness levels during his 'strike'. But I think even genuine injuries will start to be counted against him as time goes by if he doesn't make an impact, particularly if they also realise that Spurs weren't keeping him chained up in a basement and he was perfectly capable of avoiding some of these issues.

Patience will be thin on the ground. I mean, Modric WAS training last summer and still took months to adapt.
