Anyone know if his middle names is "Cristiano" ?

Plays like our left footed version of Ronaldo. Has everything. Pace, power, stamina, free-kicks, now goals, height, dribbling. Keep it up boy!

I still think playing him LB gives us a chance to play ANOTHER attacking player at LM. For example against teams like Stoke and Wolves at home. Just to give us more attacking players in the side. But for tough games, def BAE and Bale together.

Yes he is a great left back. The fact he does so well at left mid is a testament to his ability

to be honest i first thought him as a left back who can play left mid but im very quickley thinking left mid who can play left back. having said that i would be more than happy with bale as our starting left back, but seeing modric putting in another fab perforemence begs the question is wilson gonna get hos place back?

Come the end of the season we need to keep our top players happy and hungry to fight for our club, because right now I am sure the big boys are starting to take notice of our better players (not least Bale and Gomes).

We are a building club still, developing well but we really can't afford another set back of a bigger fish coming in and stunting our development by luring away key elements to our side.

Wilson, Bale, Modric, Gomes all need to be kept happy and ready for the fight next season (not to mention adding quality to the squad where needed and shipping out 'dead wood')

Beating Man City to fourth will go a long way to both keeping our current crop happy and hungry and our ability to attract the calibre of player we need to kick on.

The traditional top four have now been joined by Man City for potential vultures, heads can be turned by big wages and or offers of CL football and silverwear....our players are now surely starting to show up on a radar or two.

Best L/B in the prem,if not world football, just think would still be on our bench, if BAE had not been injured

When he has a great game at LB people say he's not a LW, and when he has a great game at LW people say he's not a LB.

He's both.

he's a left back. His starting position in the last two games has been the normal starting position he'd adopt as a LB in normal games. Bloody hell

This thread again, really?

Playing from left back doesn't hinder him in the slightest, he is still just as much of an attacking threat.

It's a matter of time before Fergie comes knocking on Levy's door, You just know it's going to happen.

I have always said that he is much better as LW and should not have his natural talent wasted just because he can play well as LB. Me and few others on here were slagged off for sticking up with it. Well the prove is right in front of everyone's eyes. People should not be arguing anymore that he is better off as LB, if they do they should not be taken seriously.

I love how much ground he covers. At left midfield he has a bit more freedom, even popping up as a right striker near the end today. I'm just delighted Modric has played great in the middle against Arsenal and chelsea, which shows he can make that his home.

Its certainly a great option to have him and Lennon on the wings. I'd play Ekotto in against the top teams, but probably keep Bale playing left back against lesser teams, because he'll still get forward plenty.

Not really. When playing as LW one has the freedom to not worry so much for all the empty space they leave behind and now they can commit more effort into going forward.

How is him playing well from LM proof that he isn't a LB? If he was shit at leftback I would understand this thread, but he hasn't been , he is just as impressive in an attacking sense from defense.
