It is just the same as when we(and others) were linked with Bowyer, no thanks. A couple of teams even signed a petition to stop bowyer from joining (birmingham I think was 1). Barton is average, he is a pikey mug who picks on those he can intimidate. I would love to play against him, I would knock him sparko and then kick the shit out of him after the match as well.

... with a bicycle kick. :-(

Didn't Claus Lundekvam do that against us? Or some other Southampton defender. Scored their first goal (ever) against us, and it was a mid-air volley from a corner.
Way off topic; this was done by Rory Delap as far as my bitter memory can tell.

He's a cocky bastard, the only reason he's not gone the way of Jody Morris is because of the amount of money invested in him. Morris was at Chelsea before the money arrived, they could afford to offload him, Citeh and the Magpies have both got a lot of cash invested in that lad now, they'll not sack him lightly, even if he's done three or four things that i would consider instantly sackable offences, if i was in charge. But i'm not.

Barton is short of what we need to improve our midfield, he's overrated and as for him the person, everything has been perfectly said about him, he's not very nice is he.

geordies lookin good with butt, gnna be very good with Barton

you rarely find hard as nails midfielders with a touch of class creativly.

ok he's a prick but if he plays against is you will exactly what our midfielder is missing, because at the moment I think I could batter the shit out of our whole midfield and im a right pussy

Thats very good, ive played football for over 20 years against some right horrible "hard bastards". But funnily enough i find a team made up with skillful footballers, will prevail 9 times out of 10 against a team made up of mainly brain dead fucking idiots.

Great player, England international. Creative genius with bite in the tackle.

Am amazed he hasn't got more caps.
Probably because no one in the England squad likes him.

Personally I wouldn't want to see Barton anywhere near a Spurs or England shirt regardless of how good he is.

I think not. We may need better central midfielders than the ones we have now, or at least one, but Barton isn't that one. He's not a genuine hard man, he's a dirty little sneak who would shit himself up against the likes of Roy Keane. He specialises in 'tackles' like the one he made on Mendes—raking his studs down his Achilles from behind. He stubbed out a cigar in a team-mate's eye, beat shit out of some kid at an airport (and bit Dunne when he tried to drag him off), and beat shit out of a team-mate at a training session. And made monkey noises in Atouba's ear until Toobs decked him.

I have the advantage of you here in having a brother-in-law who's been a City season-ticket holder for over thirty years and gets a fair bit of gossip. Barton's not that special, can be very effective on his day, but is basically a pikey **** and a liability. He made a big deal of how he was one of City's best players last season, but the fact is he wasn't missed at all when he was suspended; City actually did better without him.

And he could well go down for up to a year for his assault on what's-his-face. Which would make him a great signing.
Says it all really, he's scum. We don't need the like of him at our club. I once had someone PM me to complain about me posting something like this. Couldnt figure out why cause its the truth.
