I'd just like to mentioned something about a player I have always thought was a complete nobhead.

Dider Drogba. Fair fucking play to you fella. Stood over Bassong the whole time, with a look of concern on his face. I could only see three players looking worried about him, and two of those were chelsea players.

Say what you like, but thats sportsmanship, which was something I never thought I'd see Drogba show...

The funny thing about Drogba is he often seems like a nice guy but once again yesterday he goes down, stays down when we advance with the ball we kick the ball out and we know what happens. That is cheating.

Yes his diving was frustrating, but I do believe that other than that, the guy is honest at heart. I don't think he really and trully realised we had kicked the ball out because of the "injury"

At the end of the day, as long as Drogba gets away with his diving, and it benefits Chelsea, he will continue to do it. I happen to like the blok, one of the few in the Chelsea team I can say that about. I would give anything for a striker as complete as Didier Drogba.

It has nothing to do with how good a player he is, in fact his skill and power make it even more infuriating how much of a cheat he is.

I agree, but for me, he is only doing it as he knows it gives him a tactical advantage, and he can get away with it. To stamp on diving, the powers that be need to get more balls. Look at the Eduardo situation for example.

Players like Drogba are coached to try and win a tactical free kick, buy time for their team and generally aggrevate opponents into making mistakes. It annoys me, but it's not just the divers fault, its the whole system that is to blame.

Zokora? not good enough for us, so he's currently playing Champions League football, for a better team that are sitting top of their group.

But definitely not good enough for us.

I think he meant the diving.

But yeah, Zoko pops was clearly an excellent sub at worst, and at best, an important member of the first team. We could have done with his harrying and hassling in the middle of the park yesterday.

Putting aside the 'don't blame the criminal, blame the system argument', I am not talking about diving. I can't remember in this latest instance whether he was claiming a foul or was just feigning injury, but it is that 'gamesmanship' which pisses me off.

It is one thing to cheat a ref into awarding a free kick, but it is another thing to feign injury after a fair tackle and then force the other team to give up the ascendancy going forward to ostensibly allow him to get treatment when there was nothing wrong with him. It's disgraceful and because of the affect on the opposition's attack, worse than diving.

You can't really blame the 'system' because how can they prove that Drogba was not really hurt enough to warrant treatment and the ball going out. In that case and that of diving, there is only really one person to blame and it is the perpetrator.

Blame our players then, they're the ones who kicked the ball out under no instruction from the referee.

The only way to stop this nonsense is if the rules are used to the advantage of teams that are having people feigning injury against. The ruling says that the ball should only be kicked out if the game is stopped by the referee. If this is stuck to, then it may stop players doing it so much.

The only reason a referee should stop the game is for a suspected head injury, and I think retrospective punishment for feigning a head injury would be easier to clamp down on.

On Drogba, cheating? or merely playing the game?

I think he meant that Zokora was prone to the odd dive also, and therefore may have won us a tactical advantage or two.

I actually meant that he could put in a good shift at CB...now that we don't have many CB's left.

Didn't they change the law to cover all 'injuries'?
