Dunne's hardly world-class, but he does what it says on the tin. We could certainly do a lot worse.

Robbo has conceded many goals this season that he could have prevented and on top of that his command of his area has been abysmal.

Nobody is saying that every goal we've conceded was Robbo's fault and nobody is saying that the Watford defence were responsible for every goal that they conceded that season (obviously Foster made one glaring error).

But from what I've seen of the two goalkeepers Foster is the better shotstopper and the better when the ball comes into his area.

The former is endlessly debatable, the second inarguable.

Interestingly, before our game against Watford at WHL last season Sky produced one of its OPTA juries. Surprisingly, Foster was the weaker of the two against long shots, but better against close-range ones.

No-one in their right minds would pretend that Robbo's form hasn't slumped massively over the past two seasons. But in the run of games since he returned to favour, you can put just two of the goals we conceded down to Robbo errors (both free-kicks). For the rest, well, he might have done better on a few, but 'might' and 'should' seem to be interchangeable in some people's minds.

Interestingly, Espanyol conceded even more goals than us over a similar run of recent league games. Does this mean that alleged target Kameni is a disaster area?
