Just before Bale came on it looked like our entire coaching staff and medical team were having a real go at something, looked like some bad news had come through, Kevin Bond had his head in his hands like his mum had been shot, at first I thought maybe Bale had pulled up or something, but obviously not, there seemed to be no evident reason for this, anyone enlightened?

I think Bale wanted more time to warm up, Harry is convinced it's all in his head again and he really wanted to get him on the pitch, that's what i've concluded from what i've read, either that or Rafa tweaked sometin again but i didn't see it on screen.

Bale did look to be in not great shape when he came on, I dunno if I was expecting too much from him though. Hope there's nothing serious, I didn't notice the whole incident being mentioned in the OP though.

Hope VDV's ok too.

With a back injury I doubt there was much he could do when he was out. Not like he could go in the gym every day and do upper body stuff as you would with a leg injury.

Most likely the Wolves game made him a bit stiff and he was worried he'll tweak something again.

I thought VdV looked pissed off when he was taken off and went straight down the tunnel. He was walking fine though.

Bale was warming up at the time so don't think it was him.ledley might have tripped over a dog end.

He was walking throughout most of the match, I thought! Bloke looks a long way from being either fit or sharp, to me.

It's widely known that Bale can allow injuries to get into his head and make more out of them than they are. Harry is gonna have to really work hard in reminding him of what it was like when he first became our manager and Bale's career was going nowhere.

Harry openly spoke about how he'd been gettin wrapped in cotton wool and generally fussed over whenever he went down cos he needed to harden up, since he has, he's been great and that's thanks to Harry's man management.

I'd like to see the video of Hutton and Bale talking again if I could, just to see if I can lip read what they were saying, fair play to Hutton if he did tell Bale to get on with it.

Where were Kranjcar and Palacios in the end last night?

Composing there transfer requests at a guess...

Neither deserved to be excluded from the 18 on recent form (and their were good tactical arguments for having both available, or in Nico's case starting), but it is mightily competitive at the Lane at the moment.

I think it may have been about Defoe.

I heard he went down the tunnel before the end of the game? Can anyone confirm that?

I thought in the touchline conversation Bale said "Its my body" as if to say he doesnt feel right and he knows his body best.

Seemed to me that Bale didnt want to come on, perhaps thinking hes not ready, when all the scans etc say otherwise.

Defoe 100% went down the tunnel in the second half. I was in the east stand upper last night, almost directly opposite the tunnel and for some reason it caught my eye. The boy next to me clocked it also and asked me why he was going back down the tunnel, as if I had a direct line to Harry and could answer him!

I saw them talking. Couldn't lip-read it, but it looked to me like they were sharing a joke.
