Levy needs to come out publicly and state that we no longer have aspirations of CL football then. It's utterly ridiculous to expect Poch to get us into the top 4 with this strategy, yeah the guys good with young players but he's not a miracle worker.

But he wouldnt publicly say that because of fan/media reaction and maybe sponsers etc.
But we can see from the promotion of academy products and itk that Our signings will be of this nature and structure, as fans we have to suck it up and get on with it.

Granit Xhaka has a limited fee release clause between €25-30 million in his new contract, which explains the listed value and the news speculation. So he's not exactly free for all.

Karim Bellarabi extended his contract with the new release clause only a little over a month ago, which is already reflected in the list.

The list is quite current.

From what I've read, his new contract has a buyout-clause which would allow him to leave the club in 2017 for €30M. His contract is now through 2019, so it's an early release clause.

I'm concerned with our CB situation, very concerned. If we could get Howedes I'd be delighted, what a signing that'd be, but despite the fact he's in my sig that is more hope than anything else as I see this as a pretty unrealistic option. Who else is there? Alderweireld has had a good season at Saints but he's not really a leader. He's had Fonte who is far from the best CB in the world but has a voice and a presence. I'd worry with Toby and Jan as Verts is hardly known for his commanding presence. I just don't see a good, solid, commanding CB who would be a realistic target!
