So does this mean that I can't bring a non-spurs supporting family member with me to the game (I have two season tickets) in case they support the opposition? If that's true I think it's a bit pathetic to be honest.....makes it sound like a religious sect rather than a football club!

I took my step dad to the Spurs v Fulham end of season game. He's a Fulham fan, and understood that it was respectful to not jump around cheering their players, and booing ours. By all accounts (not just on here, but other forums) a lot of Benfica fans were being pretty antagonistic and brazen...and in large numbers rather than one or two here and there. Taking the piss really.

I go to the Lane to cheer on our team. I won't go to sit with a bunch of opposition fans booing our players. If I wanted to sit with people booing our team I'd just get a ticket in Park Lane.

I'm pretty sure a lot of them are Spurs fans who put Benfica tops on during the game because they were embarrassed to be a Spurs fan last night.

It's a bit crap that people who watch football can't accept that away fans are just other humans who support a different team.

But that's the realistic state of affairs in football and it's pretty stupid for Spurs to allow this to happen.

It's happened many times before at many other games, and will continue to do so. Personally, I don't have that much of a problem with it. The away fan made more of an effort than the home fan technically. If the away fan/s is/are respectable enough and behave well enough amongst the home crowd then it's fine with me.

Just to add, I meant other clubs' games. It's not only at Tottenham. Will always happen.

Nothing surprises me about our customer service. I met Jonathan Waite once or twice and he came across as a real arrogant prick with no time for anyone.

What do you think of our fans? Good behavior?

Your fans were well behaved.

Quite a few of them in among the Spurs fans, though, because many Spurs fans aren't massively interested in the Europa League - so didn't buy tickets - and because there are so many Portuguese living in London.

They didn't cause any trouble but they did celebrate the goals a little over enthusiastically. Nothing much wrong with that but it was a bit insensitive to the Spurs fans around them. Thankfully, the Spurs fans kept their cool and there was no serious trouble. Could easily have been some nasty incidents, though, if Spurs fans hadn't shown so much self control.

Probably improved the atmosphere of the home support to be fair.

The op would hate rugby games.

Does it really matter if they were? Correct me if I'm wrong but on the 20 odd euro aways I've done, watching our club, our fans have been allover the home end. Leverkusen, Milan, Inter, Basel, Madrid, etc.... Why is it ok for us to do it yet moan when it happens at WHL?

I say we take over the Stadium of Light next week and fill the stadium with our negative atmosphere. That's right, lets turn their stadium into White Hart Lane for the night. Whose with me?
