Sacked by Liverpool and then sacked by Inter Milan.

Soon to be sacked by Chelsea. He isn't doing very well lately......

I have to respect his la liga titles but that was a long time ago. Only my opinion you understand.

he would never win the la liga at present. Barca is much much stronger now than when he was in charge of valencia

Benitez is a good manager, he just went weird towards his latter days at Liverpool, but his achievements speak for themselves. Yes he has a had a bit of right time and place for some, and i would not classify him as a top manager, but he is no mug either.

For me his downfall came when he moved towards the mind games with Mourinho and Ferguson and was blatantly inferior at it. Had he just stayed away from all that on got on with his job he probably would have left with some reputation left intact from the English game, but most remember him for losing the plot somewhat.

I don't think it was just the mind games. Liverpool the club was clearly being absolutely shafted by Hicks and Gillett and the row between them, and I think it got to Benitez personally as he's incredibly obsessive and needs complete control.

Having said that I know a woman who worked at Liverpool for a couple of years under Benitez and she's said that he was a bit of a dick. Off topic, but apparently Peter Crouch is by far the nicest footballer she's ever met.

Anyone notice any vitriol being directed toward Abramovich? No?

Nor me.

God forbid they upset the man who makes these decisions. He might pack his bags and go. Then where would they be?

Bunch of bottley, two faced ****s

They really are a laughable bunch.

PS: Levy out

The BBC said the same thing.
Benitez is taking all the flak but virtually no one is saying anything about RA, at least not openly and yet he is the one making all these bizarre decisions.

It's like they daren't! Fear of the Russian mafia?! Lol... no but fear of returning to no money (or less).

Our Rafa who art in West London, hallowed be his name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive Rafa who trespasses against us...

I'm torn. On the one hand I really really hope they fuck up big style and don't even get CL, that'd be sweet. The culmination of all Abramovich's meddling come home to roost and the fans won't even point the finger. On the other hand, them missing out would likely mean Arsenal get the spot. If they both fuck up I think i'd get such a rampant hard on i'd pass out through loss of blood.

Come on gods of football. You owe us.

I'd been following RA's lead by keeping Torres in my fantasy team just coz I knew he'd be on the pitch even if he was on crutches. But fuck that anymore he's gotta go.

Anyone think Rafa is going to be fired after the Christmas and New Year programme? Like to see that and Chelscum continue their downward spiral and the Ruskie loses interest and sells the club.

I actually feel sorry for Benitez. Seems like a decent enough bloke.

You forgotten about the time when he made comments about us trying to sell Defoe?

The man is a sneaky twat, no sympathy for him, he's a shit man manager, his methods are now dated and he's as stubborn as they come.

Chelsea and Benitez deserve each other, football heaven right now watching him destroy their season and them booing him at every opportunity.
