Fair do's Bentley, fair do's. To be honest, I've hated you (perhaps irrationally) since you came to our club but you're proving me for one wrong at the moment. Keep making me eat my words please.

Did well again today. He just needs to add some variety to his crossing. He played the high ball into Crouch too often today. He needs to add some low, fast passes for Defoe to run onto to switch things up a bit.

But he played well and he worked hard when we didn't have possession too. I was also pleased with the crowd's reaction to him and his applause for them when he came over to take a corner.

Really happy for him. Most players would have shrivelled and died by now. It must take a lot of character to wait your turn the way he has an then put in a couple of good performances.

Good to see.

hopefully he is seeing a second chance to show that he is worth a place at Spurs and that he can show his qualities. If we have a different option to Lennon when needed from a player who can whip a ball in then great.

only 2 games so far, here's to him keeping it up

If Lennon really is out for a month or more, Bentley did enough today to suggest we can still be successful without the little man. Good work Dave.

Bentley was today along with bale and wilson ,top draw .really gutted at the end, ridgwell all alone for easy goal.our support today was great.thought crouch had by far his worse game for us today, how he missed that chance when he got in defoes way.....who apart from the goal, was poor too.overal i thought we were in control and was very pleased with our performance, could have nicked at the end,but wilson ball to keane overhit.

I was at the game and thought that Bentley did very well, far more confident running at his man and his excellent delivery was back to how it used to be. Not quite good enough to keep Lennon on the bench when he is back fit but everimproving performances for sure. + Agree Bale and Palacios were the shizz!

yep good performances from bentley and bale - our squad is looking stronger

not enough pace and power tho overall - looks like we won't be getting any in up front now

Bentley is quality, in fairness. It's a good thing he's back in the side, because on the basis of today, he's worth most of what we paid for him.

The only drawback is that Corluka is too slow to get the best out of him.

Very pleased for the boy. He has shown remarkable character to deal with what will be, for a footballer, a very adverse situation.

I won't pretend that, in the grand scheme of things, the problems of a footballer are of any great significance, but within the narrow confines of a footballer's life, DB has put up with a lot.

And he is now proving his critics wrong, and he is doing it in the best possible way - showing the naysayers what he can do and doing it for our club, rather than someone else.

I just hope that if he does have a bad game sometime in the next few games, he isn't jumped on and is given a bit of time to settle.

playing better - but i'd like him a whole lot more if he cut out the fancy dan flicks that always seem to go wrong - 4 nil up - bit of fancy play - fine - 0 0 I think not

U mean like those that Palacios does with increasing regularity? Palacios drives me crazy with those too! It's like watching Atouba performing his tricks in our own half.

and again the guy was quality tonight

Defoe will get MoM for his hat-trick but Bentley was right behind him in the running

really starting to turn it on at the right time

Excellent interview from Bentley. He definitely is humbled and now has a great attitude.
