It always amazes me that players can feel that way. He signed the damn contract he is on now.
Feeling more and more like we were always just going to be a stepping stone from the off.

Fuk him. He only cost 10.9 and merchandising, profile, league finish prize money and acculimated cup gains easily pays for that a few times over. Keep him sat in the ressies for 2 years for all i care. then he'll be 29.. have had no football for 2 years. Who's gonna fulfill his CL dream then? Fenebache? Rangers? pah

I suspect if we hold out, Berabtov for the sake of his own public image, his ability to perform for his country and to impress managers from teams he wants to play for, he'll play and try to play well.

Grade A tosser, but then Berbs must agree with his agent or he would have sacked him. Dantchev is, afterall, Berbs employee.

Absolutely. I love the way everyone tries to distance poor little Berbie from his hand-rubbing agent. He's just doing what he's told. Berbatov doesn't come out and say he wants off because he doesn't want to annoy the fans. Come on peeps, use your heads

I really do hate this man. I won't believe that Berba wants out or is unhappy until he says so himself or it's confirmed that he's actually signed for someone else.

his agent knows he can make enough money from a berba deal to not have to work again, he'll never get another player like berba on his books.

I hope he won't go, but if he does I hope it is to a big Spanish/Italian side

If he wants to leave then let him, you cant hold him here against his will. If you was him you would probably wanna leave too, if you heard Champions League teams are after you. Good luck to him

why would a guy from Bulgaria with no ties to england, let alone spurs, have the urge to stay with us for the rest of his contract/career?

He's going. End of. His agent is touting him about, doing his job. Is he a wanker for doing this? Probably not. More than likely, Berba is giving him free reign to do what he wants to get him a lucrative move. Sometimes fans forget that to a footballer, its just a job, not a passion/love affair like for a fan.

If he does go, i only hope we get a skip full of dough and he moves abroad.

It will hurt and we will all be gutted, but to think he is an innocent in all of this agent talk is very naive.

Just enjoy him while hes here, cos it could be a long time before we see someone of his quality at the lane again

Agree 100% ..Some people take an immature approach the way football is run. People need to understand that a footballer's interests come first. I guarantee that you ask any spurs player if a champions league team came in for them and doubled their wages they would be off!!!

You're nice. With a fan like you who needs an enemy?

Imo it's natural that great players want to play for great clubs in top competitions.

The only duty he has to Spurs is to do what Carrick did and not shout about wanting to leave too much so we can get a top fee for him. Using his agent to agitate for a move is one way of doing this.

I'll be cheering his name if he ever returns to play us at the Lane.

However, Spurs denied there has been any problem with contract talks. A spokesman said: "Dimitar still has two years on his contract with an option for another two years and is on one of the best packages at the club."

These comments are in quotation's, if true the club really can tell him he has to stay.
Wonder if it really was an official club spokesman, never seen the "option" mentioned before by the club.

Carricks agent didn't even say a word either so, Berby isn't doing the same as Carrick.

You know what I meant.

As long as Berba keeps his mouth shut, we're a strong selling position.

Even if he doesn't, let's just act with some class for a change, let him go and get in someone else without letting this drag on all summer.

no they cant. unless they are happy for him to sit in the reserves, decreasing in value. and who exactly does that benefit if it happens?

name one player that a club has forced to stay, when he insisted he wanted to leave. Just one.

Bet no one can.

If a player wants to go, hes offski.

I hate this frigging agent. Just co's he wants a large sum of money aswell.

And thats all it really is. He's a poor(skint) little Bulgarian and Berbatov is his biggest asset.

You know who pisses me off most? Berbatov. Has he ever come out and told his agent to STFU? I don't think so, which leads me to believe Berba has put his agent up to this, or at least concurs with what his agent keeps saying, but is too much of a pussy/coward to come out and say this shit himself. I hope I'm wrong because obviously I want him to stay. But I get the feeling he secretly wants out anyway.

Lets just sell him for £30m and be done with it. The two-faced ****.:bang:

I personally want Berbatov to go now ! Its clear he wants to move on ( readig between the lines). I rather see Bent being given the chance, lets get a decent value for him and get rid ... Sorry, but I always knew he was going to depart. But sell him abroad !
