:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: The club have only got to pay an initial £700,000, rising to £1.25m on bonuses

Jordon is furious!!!!!!!!

He went on to say that they turned down a £900,000 bid from Chelsea when he was 14!!!

some players are just like that though regarding being big time, and although a degree of arrogance can be allowed being a dickhead shouldnt be necessary in todays streets as who knows what can happen. I have some contacts with norwich and on a night out bertrand (on loan from chelsea) was talking to a girl, she turned him down and he immediatly pointed to his watch and said "this costs more than what your mum earns in a year" which is clearly being a bell. Maybe our own are like that, although i hope not.

on the Simon Jordon rant, you gotta say he's got a point.

he's definitely got a point, i hope we dont screw it up and stick him in the reserves to fall to pieces like so many others.

Why we didnt loan him back to palace i dont understand (especially ater what SJ says about it being his yr etc), unless he is going straight into the first team as a bench player:shrug:

I really can't be too happy with this. We've got stacks of money. They'll be struggling to get by. 2m to us is peanuts (espeically for the huge potential of the lad), Palace could buy a player that would help them get out of the Champs with that.

I hope we do right by them and loan them a player or two or sell them someone at a decent rate.

Oh dear. And I'll bet the irony is that we offered better in the first place and Jordan turned it down and banked on the tribunal improving on our offer. Unlike a lot of people on SC, I like the guy, but he's really shot himself in the foot here.

The grass roots will now have no faith in tribunal conclusions and will now proceed to be shafted by the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea (and Spurs) who will continue to plunder grass root academies.

Jordan is right to feel pissed off.

Not bloody likley after Palace calls us Vampires or Vultures or whatever else he calls us. Give them Ghaly, forever.

I feel sorry for Palace too- but that doesn't mean I want the fee increased -

you win some - you lose some - it's not like Palace will be bankrupt or anything

Oh and well done Spurs for getting such a good talent - and welcome to young Mr Bostock

I'd feel sorry for them if Jordan wasn't a ****. Surely he should have learnt his lesson from Routledge a few years ago. We paid less for Routledge than Jordan wanted then, and the same has happened now. He should have known that going to a tribunal would have resulted in a smaller fee, and should therefore have accepted our top offer when he realised that Bostock didn't want to stay. Can't feel sorry for him, when he's made exactly the same mistake before.

He certainly is, but I still wonder if the tribunal ruling wasn't worse than whatever we may have offered in the first place. £700k + £500k is plain ridiculous, and I'll bet we were just as surprised as Jordan.

Hold on, this isn't ITK discussion!

Although I'm glad we weren't ripped off in the deal I do think that twat Jordan has a point. If lower league teams constantly lose their up & coming talent for a pittence then it'll harm English football as a whole. I really do think that more money should go downstream istead of being held by the top 4 and the Prem.
