Fury to get an “injury” and the December bout with Usyk won’t happen. He looked way off it, didn’t take it seriously at all and I hate to say it I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been back on the gear.

I’m not saying he wouldn’t take Usyk seriously but his corner must be concerned after that showing.

Oct 29th, called it. I think he's done.

And Fury has pulled out. Shocked
There's been bad signs in the last six months mate, stories about his camp being a farce won't go away and he's not looked in a good place for a while. I'd be shocked if it's even rescheduled.

Strangely, my brother was in a nightclub in London about 3-4 weeks before the Ngannou fight and saw Fury in there enjoying his night. Whether that was a case of him simply taking Ngannou too lightly, or the aforementioned above by some people, I’m not sure. Certainly, if ever he was going to take a camp lightly, it would have been that one as Francis was not fancied going in and was a huge question mark as to what his boxing skills would actually be.

I’m going to err on the side of positivity and take this injury ar face value. Fight gets rearranged.

Also, to go back to an earlier conversation I think AJ will probably comfortably beat Ngannou. I’ve been a fan of MMA for 20 odd years so don’t have a boxing prejudice, but I do think Fury took this one lightly and AJ will certainly not. The Fury fight boosted Ngannous reputation, if AJ can put a clinic on it will carry value going forward. He will be very motivated to convincingly beat Francis

Agreed. Don’t think he has it in him anymore. Bit like Hatton was when he’s jumping from training camps to 9 months of kebabs. I think you lose your strength

It was inevitable that Fury would walk away from this fight his mind hasn’t been on the game since the last Wilder fight.

You saw the cut that made him reschedule right? Don't think there's any grand conspiracies on this one.

Oh I missed this as I was at the Buatsi/Azeez fight. What was it on? I’m assuming DAZN..?

(On a side note, I used to have a sub for DAZN at 99p a month and I UNSUBSCRIBED. What an idiot)
It was on DAZN. The stream wasn’t great and froze a few times.

Benn was solid but didn’t seem to have the same power he’s shown in his, allegedly pre-drugs, matches.

Why’s he sparring without a head guard..? I don’t think there is a conspiracy, but a cut can easily be made to happen if they wanted to…

He did have headgear on. He got elbowed in the face by accident. The video of it is widely available.

It's an absolutely crazy take to even suggest they would do that on purpose IMO.

I recall Fury's interview about mental health and his depression a few years back where he said because he had reached the top it was like "What else is left?"

I am not saying he has pulled out of this fight for bullshit reasons, but I do wonder if he plays up the way he does because he is trying to prevent himself from reaching that place again.

Scared that if he beats everyone, he will reach that depression place again. So instead, just play up and be a bit of a twat.

He gets really offended and bites whenever someone dares to say he is running from big fights, definiely a sore point.

I don’t think there’s any conspiracy, but I totally understand why people suspect Fury of delaying/dodging the fight as he has a history of it. So despite this being totally legitimate it’s a case of the boy that cried wolf.

I haven’t seen Whittaker before, although I heard an interview with him where he said he enjoyed the showboating etc, I don’t know if I like it, but at least he can back it up with good boxing skills.
