Not picking on the guy, but there were 2/3 games last season that he cost us points by not even attempting to put a foot in in our half. He very rarely gets up for games recently. In fact he's been invisible. JJ suggest when we were in talks with Ajax that he wanted barca etc but even Spurs were concerned because he was inconsistent. And he is so inconsistent. Unless he scores a few free kicks he is almost useless just recently. Hopefully Pritchard can keep fit and put a little pressure on him.
Don't believe everything you hear.

Eriksen was on trial at Barcelona and chose not to be there. He's said so himself.

Need to make this happen.

He's going to be a star like Lukaku was going to be a star.

He has the experience even at such a young age and the tools to go with it.

He's what we need.

If Everton sign Embolo, it must mean that Lukaku (who is too good for them at any rate) is on his way out...

He makes more passes per game than anyone else in the front four (he sees the amount of ball most central midfielders don't in this league), has double the assists of anyone else in our team, more key passes per game than anyone else, he tackles and intercepts more than Kane.

He's not perfect, that's why he's here and not Barca but to say he rarely gets up for games is just utter bollocks.

Ok, finally watched the obligatory Embolo YouTube video, and whilst I appreciate its always going to be a highlight reel of handpicked best bits, it's still a bloody impressive montage. Power, pace, technique, work rate, and a very mature football brain the way he appreciates sometimes it's better to put the ball to someone better placed. What's not to like.

Basle were said to have turned down an offer of €25m from Wolfsburg at end of last TW (Goal.com), so not sure why Everton are 'pouncing' now. They mat be trying their luck, but I assume with a higher offer, However more than likely not true given that its TribalFootball.

If and it's a BIG IF this latest news were to be true then we would certainly know about it, as would all the other interested clubs, and it would then come down to decision time by him and his agent. Wages, contracts, prospects etc. I'd like to think that we could compete if we really wanted him, but maybe we would lose out to that mob down the road, but not Everton. If we wanted him for that price that is.

I can't believe that Everton would want to pay upwards of £20 million for another striker when they already have Lukaku and Kone at the club.

For us on the other hand, now that Batshuayi has signed a contract extension and bumped his value I think Embolo could well be the next best option, besides Berahino that is.

The first one is sourcing Goal.com about a Wolfsburg bid, the second one is sourcing The Sun, and the third simply links back to the article linked in the second.

The Sun article was written at the start of September, while the Goal.com article was written at the end of the October at the latest.

Welcome to the spin cycle, try to focus on a fixed point on the ground and with any luck you won't get too dizzy. ;)
