For a club that's apparently so irrelevant most of the time, there's an awful lot of people pissed off that we've had games postponed.

If you look at who was training yesterday....there was a half decent team there, if I can describe our reserve team as such. Under 21’s on the bench....could they make us play it.
Rodgers was moaning about covid and illness yesterday but watching them tonight...apart from 3 injured out of their regular back 4, virtually full strength apart from Ihenachao,Amartey, neither of whom are first picks.

Don't know, but surely it will be postponed, or do you think the game will be played?
I'm not sure about the isolation situation, but I think about 8 will still be isolating on the day of the game.
If we only have 2 or 3 by then, maybe the game goes ahead

Interesting, Leicester have 10 out ATM, about the same amount of Covid 5/6 as us, I think
Both sides will presumably be weakened. We'll see what happens, I don't know the isolation schedules for either team

How come Leicester/Newcastle hasn't been called off?

They pretty much had full strength team, with some main players on the bench aswell in their europa game, dont think its bad at all for them maybe a player or 2, but looking at the squad for tonight looked very strong not different what they normally put out.

I didn't know Leicester dropped down into the conference league ?? that'll really finish their season if they take it seriously.
Fortunately our continued place in the conference league is merely a technicality until we play the game.

Sigh. I’ve been really looking forward to some downtime watching football over the Christmas run. It’s going to be a dull round of fixtures without our games to look forward to. Still, it’s the right decision.

Until Conte came in, I think we’d have all said the opposite!

We’ll be back next weekend for sure unless the league is shut down. The PL won’t want us to have to postpone a fourth game next weekend (that’s saying Leicester will be of course. They are in poor form so might like it to be off).

On a serious note though, I would hate it if certain deadwood we are looking to offload in January stays because of the fixtures buildup and we have no choice but needing them to call upon in fulfilling.

Can imagine the Leicester game being postponed due to their numbers as opposed to ours which will be fewer, with our isolation period being over for a number of our players, and play the Rennes game next Thursday in its place.

So I’ve worked it out up to international break if we get to carabo final and progress in Confrence and FA cup there are 4 free dates. January 18th 25th 29th February 2nd. If West Ham beat us then there’s plenty of dates free will go to 6 free.

I think that does involve a special international break though for South America so not sure consequences of that. I’d guess teams would just have to play like AFcon
