OK I'll put it out there, I know it's lurking deep within the recesses of your minds.
Could we get 4th and lose out again by Arsenal winning the Champions league?
What's the chances?
Absolutely none. But I said that when Gareth lined up the second free kick against Lyon.
Can't happen mate let Walker have a go.
But there's plenty of people struck by lightning twice in their lives, if they survive the first one.

If they get anything like the amount of luck Chavski got last season anything is possible.

Surely lightning can't strike twice - can it? I would be absolutely gob smacked if they won it and very surprised indeed if they gt past Bayern

Think there is a difference, Chelsea at least still had the remains of a title winning side and some leaders/winners.

Arsenal don't have that, they don't have a striker who can go and win them a game against a top class opposition. They also don't know how to defend, which is the main reason Chelsea won, defend defend defend...defend some more.

I think this years CL winner will come from the Old Trafford match. Or Barcelona.

For me a question of characters and leadership. Chelsea have/had drogba lampard terry ramieres which dragged them through. A vital ingredient alongside luck and grit.

Arsenal have .....

I don't think Arsenal have the luck or players to win the CL, but if any team has the bad luck to finish 4th twice and not be put through to the qualifying rounds either time, it's us...

I'm more worried about losing fourth, than Arsenal winning the CL.

Seriously, at this stage last year, we had an 11 point gap. We are only 4 in front now, with a much worse goal difference!

Chelsea just went all out defence, got a lot of luck and were fortunate that Drogba was on fire for the last couple of months of the season.

Arsenal cannot play those tactics for a start, they will be far too open and should get dispatched by the better teams.

Im actually looking up. I feel really confident, more than last year. I actually see us hitting some real form now. I think we will be safe before the last 3 games

No because their defence is not as good.

yep chelsea had the ability to be the stoke city of the champions league, park the bus and hoof it to drogba. And even then they rode their luck massively and somehow the gods smiled on them.

Arsenal dont have the ability to park the bus, and Wenger wouldnt do it either. They dont have the quality to face off against the better teams in the champs league

Nope, haven't got anywhere near the same mentality or balls as Chelsea.

Chelsea got lucky last season but they had characters (Terry, Lampard, Cech, Drogba) who had vital experince who pulled them through to the end. Arsenal don't even have one player on that level.

I have to admit it crossed my mind, but as much as the chavs surprised me with their lucky desperate wins, I just don't see arsenal having anywhere near that to do it. They would have to be so lucky in defence because basically they are no good at it!! Chelsea although bloody lucky were for some reason able to do it in that competition last year.
