If you look at the goal difference and games lost at this stage of the season, then we must assume this is a massive indicator of how the season will end up.

It seems that we are in with a shout of top 3. Obviously the Jan window means a lot. Teams around us will buy. Factor in the levy particle. Then divide that by Spursy but add the Leicester conundrum and it extrapolates a chance of top 3.

Adding in the fact we can't finish above scum. Does anyone think we can really gets second?

Divide that by hope and it's clear the math says we get 4th.

But we must factor in there are damn statistics.

Gotta push hard for 3rd as a guarantee.
Knowing the favouritism that exists for the "big clubs" one of the powers that be well fuck us up.

Ignore the others, and certainly ignore the Goons.Lets just keep on keeping on, as Brendan Rogers would say, and we can achieve whatever we want this season.

It's exciting enit! Or first, even. It's possible. This season is something of a throwback to the days when the field was much more open and that sort of thing used to happen. It's making me rethink the importance of the Europa League. What, nine more games needed to win that trophy, and in the whole scheme of things, where would that get us? Are we getting to a stage where we should put all our eggs in one basket and go balls out for the absolutely highest league position possible?

I think City will win the league with De Bruyne, Silva, Toure and Sterling going from strength to strength in the second half of the season and also Aguero and Kompany to come back in. They have the strongest squad and are not a bottle job waiting to happen like Arsenal.

After them it's wide open. My heart wants to say second but my head knows we will probably finish below Arsenal. 3rd is what I expect at present but, as someone else said, United and Liverpool will both buy in January. Having said that it will be a huge opportunity missed if we do not make the top 4 now and, in all likeliness, will also mean the break-up of this team as the vulchers circle around our best players.

If Leicester win tonight then all bets are off!

Our current goal difference, extrapolated over the season, puts us on c.75 points

Yes we can. We can also finish 1st or 3rd or 4th or 5th or 6th... at this stage it really is wide open. We could keep up the momentum and then challenge for the title but we could just as easily fall apart and finish outside top 4. The most important thing is we continue fighting for everything. I love the passion shown after yesterday's winning goal. It was only a winner against Watford but we recognise the importance of every win. That's what champions are made of. No matter the opponent and no matter where the game is played they are passionate about winning every game. We seem to have that winning mentality. The question will be whether we maintain it even when things start to go against us.

I liken it to the Atletico Madrid win the season before last. They hadn't won the league title since 95-96 but they fought for everything and showed great character. They were a horrible team with a few dirty players but they earned the title. There is no queue to wait in for the title. Just because we haven't won a league title in forever years doesn't mean we can't this season. We don't need to finish 4th then 3rd and 2nd before we win the title. Every season is different and as long as we truely believe we can win any match then it's possible we can go all the way.

It's so close at the top that if the team holds its nerve, keeps a positive attitude, gets a spoonful of luck along with more 3-pointers, no serious injuries and some half decent referees and the other teams at the top don't perform as well, I see no reason why we couldn't actually be champions. Anything could happen.

I haven't been so excited by a Spurs team since the Double team years.
