Just had a text of a fellow Spurs fan who goes away with England quite a bit, and keeps his finger relatively well on the pulse. Says there are rumours circulating that Capello has resigned. Hadn't heard anything myself, but thought I'd share. Would almost certainly mean the end of Harry as Spurs boss I'd think. Anyone else heard anything?

Just logged onto Englandfans - new thread started saying rumour started on twitter and press conference at 11pm.

Will update if I get anything off it.

My mate's a member of England fans also. Prob where he got it from. He also seemed to think the pc was for 11pm, not am. We shall see in the next 15 mins....

11pm? As in tonight? Wow that would be quick. Either way it's not like Harry would leave straight away, or even take the job

Scheduled for 11pm? Could be I suppose, but pretty unusual!

11pm - just after the deadline for all of the national papers....To me, as a journalist, that suggests it's bad news rather than good or something they want to get out.

All the hacks are out pissed tonight at the FWA piss-up so would be funny if true. Alot of the Capello resigning rumours around though.

How many press conferences take place at 11pm?

Even if whatever the story might be had broken, they'd wait until the morning. I'm pretty sure it'll be 11am not pm. If there is one at all.

 god bless the silly season

Yep

Does sound like a case of putting two and two together and coming up with purple.

I can't see Capello wanting to give up on his lucrative contract, and I can't see the FA sacking him and having to pay him even more. I certainly don't see him leaving at this point.

Even if he did, the FA would never hire Redknapp at this stage. They'd wait for his court case to get sorted first so as to avoid the global humiliation of seeing their new manager behind bars.
