My worst footballing memory as a fan was being at WHL when we lost 1-0 to Hull during the darkest Ramos days. Needs to be avenged.

Count yourself lucky that's your worst memory. I still remember being at WHL and losing 6-1 to Chelsea.

Could've been worse?!

I think this is close to being the best possible tie we could get!

Hull's priority is the league and will travel to WHL in the knowledge they'll probably come a cropper and won't want to risk sending a strong side down.

Great draw and a great chance to proceed to the quarters - what more can you want?!

It wasn't really the game in itself, I've seen worse scorelines than that. It was mainly the poisonous atmosphere around the entire ground and the way it seemed like 35000 people all collectively thought that the club was going to pot. It was just an incredibly depressing experience.

Arsenal win after WBA royally cock up the penalties. Arse vs Chavs it is, the question is whether Wenger will play the kids and he always has in the past.

He played Flappihandski, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Monreal, Arteta and Bendtner tonight. Not exactly the Arsenal kids myth the media always like to perpetuate.

I'd have been dreading this tie a few yrs ago. I can already see the nonchalant, cocky display which quickly turns into a panicky, error strewn attempt to get back into the game before ultimately fluffing just one too many chances and seeing us bow out after getting the plum tie of the round.

Not this time.

I was there. Was awful. Very early goal then they just sat back and parked the bus. Literally time wasting from the 3rd minute. Painful!

Walking out of that game was the only time in my life supporting Spurs (I'm 19, so since about 2000) that I've genuinely been frightened of relegation.

Man, that season was gut-wrenching. Jurgen at Selhurst Park finally getting us over the line. Fucking hellfire. Never again!

Quoted in agreement but also other ties are perfect!

Not to mention the fact that Arsenal and Chelsea have been drawn together. Tough game for both so will stop Wenger playing all those ****ing kids and tire his shrinking squad even more!

only bad thing about the draw is we will be set the Tuesday again as Chelsea v Man C is sky 4pm kick off on the sunday.

though as we are playing Hull the same 2 days before, it should be our 2nds v their 2nds

Not sure I get that, why couldn't we play on the Wednesday that week? Sunday we'll play Hull....

Was that in the same season as the 6-1 Chelsea defeat? God, we were naff then.

Funnily enough, although that was, as you say, gut-wrenching, that 6-2 win at Selhurst Park with Klinsman scoring 4 was one of the games I'll never forget and in the end a great away day. So much at stake and things very nearly went very pear-shaped for us.

they wont let us play Wednesday, as like this round just gone they will most prob edge the favour of Chelsea playing Arsenal on a Wednesday as they play Sunday on TV v Man City. they wont allow Spurs and Arscum to play at home the same night

Ah yes, with you now - forgot about the Scum v Scum lol

Like you say though, we'll have the squad depth to cope - and Lennon and Capoue will both be back by then, we should be able to field a completely different side really.

Playing two days later works well for us. It means it will be Hull reserves vs Spurs reserves, and that puts us as even bigger favourites.

Absolutely. I've never felt a high like that since. Not even the run we had and victory over city tbh. That was a close second.

Months of dread and worry. Deep-seated fear that the worst could happen. This was a daily, all-consuming nightmare. Every loss, every draw slowly dragging us closer. Then we got that win against the Barcodes which there was no way we'd win after all. Then the trip to those bastards Wimbledon. Bang. Suddenly lifted. It was a mental start to the summer. Went over to France for the WC that yr.
