Thought Cuellar would have been our next option after the Corluka malarky

Cannot believe we're gonna miss out on Cuellar, he looks qusality and Villa have beaten us to it. Just hope the Corluka deal is sealed

How have Villa beaten us to it if we never wanted the player?
Seriously people need to get a grip with this transfer stuff,as you said we want Corluka and are trying to get a deal sorted hence no bid or sign of wanting Cuellar,if Villa bought Dean Ashton would we have missed out there too?
The facts are we never have been interested in him,if a fan likes a player somehow that translates to Spurs missing out and we have been beaten to his signature when we clearly haven't.
I can't get why all of sudden some fans are getting wound up about this deal that has no interest at all to Spurs.
Or is it the panic of not getting Corluka we then sit back desperately and want other replacements bought like Cuellar while in reality Spurs are going after someone else the manager actually wants.

The report I read said he'd spoken to Tottenham and Liverpool which suggests we were interested to some extent.

Well now that Corluka is looking rather dead, and I am not thinking about this in light of losing him, I'm sure we must have other candidates to be our CB coverage. I'm sure if they had really rated him, we would have been in with a shout.

We should make a late move for Ceullar imo he would defintely opt for us over Villa.

Well Villa have offered £7.8million and we should do the same unless Ramos (who knows more about him than most) doesn't particularly rate him.

We're signing Corluka for £8.5m, we're not going to spend another £7.8m on a backup defender. Especially a player who isn't even proven in La Liga let alone the Premier League.

We've signed him as far as i'm concerned. Considering all the most respected ITKs have said this. Not just Spurs ones but also City ones. The likes of TPC (which i rate very highly,) Jasper and our very own Goat have confirmed as much. Now i know theres a chance that they could all be wrong, but i highly doubt it. I'd be very surprised if Corluka isn't a Spurs player for the start of the season.

Can you ring him and tell him to come to London then please.

I dont have his number but maybe BEN can?

I might even get his name on the back of my Spurs shirt to send a statement.

I think thats the key to it all and coruka is seen as a younger more versatile option. If either Us or Liverpool for example wanted him we'd have got him it think.
Rangers are Enic part owned so are they a PLC too? is that why they had to announce that a bid had been accepted? I would imagine Villa would prefer to keep it quiet as it kinda advertises the fact Cuellar is getable and at a decent price too.

Come on Senor Ramos, I'm sure he'd be the type of player that would love to play under Ramos, I don't feel positive about the Corluka affair, we don't wanna miss out on another signing, I reckon Cuellar would be amazing with Woodgate, saw him play a few times with Rangers and hes solid.

let see whether King can actually stand at kick off, have so much respect for him but what is he doing? We look very limited with defensive cover. With all the attacking options we have bought our defense may be exposed at time, we really need this as a priority, that and a striker, please get rid of moody Berba!

Cuellar is this year's Distin.

Made all the sense in the world to sign him but instead we choose to pass on him.

Corluka is decent, don't get me wrong, but Hutton > Corluka at RB, Cuellar > Corluka at CB. Shame we haven't signed him.

Is Cuellar really that good? 1 good season in which Rangers huffed, puffed and ended up with a tin pot cup. He was sold by Osasuna for a fraction at 25 years old which should be when he's entering his peak, doesn't have a single cap for spain, why?

I like how some of you actually believe Corluka is a Spurs player, wish I shared your optimism. Cuellers going to Villa, theres no need for this thread.

But why the move from La Liga (good) to the SPL (dog shit)?

BIG step down at 25 imo.
