27 - Liverpool have scored more goals than any other team in the Champions League this season, with 24 of those goals coming across their last five games. Unstoppable.
That PSG trio would be terrifying to watch on the counter, but at the end of the day, they’ve still got Emery in charge.
They won’t be winning the CL until he’s gone. Surprised he wasn’t booted out after the Barca tie.
Ah well, dream over, it was nice while it lasted but Liverpool are just too good for anyone else.
The guy has won the Europa League three seasons running, can't think of too many managers with better European pedigree? They'd already tried Ancellotti. Mourinho maybe ?
That's a pretty good achievement in itself but if you look at it his Sevilla side never even finished Top 4 in his reign finishing behind Bilbao and Villarreal.
I've always said a team is an exact embodiment of a manager's mentality and PSG are a bunch of legends, they don't know how to grind games out and they have no steel about them, Emery is a small time coach who doesn't deserve to manage a club like PSG.
I can see Conte going to them next season and making them a real force.
gonna be hard to be a force when no domestic challenge for them
Give PSG their due. I watched the highlights against RM and they should have been 2-3 goals to the good really. The score line flattered Real.I don't think so, Bayern were a force in Germany for so long that they dominated both domestically and on the European stage, PSG can easily go up a level under a better manager.

.....not too mention, other than Alves, they have a very young team defensively.I think that's a bit unfair really. The Europa League (as we know) is a bastard to win, and he's won it three times with a non "uber" club. He's won more than Pochettino.
And I don't agree that a team is always an exact embodiment of it's manager's mentality, if that was the case coaches like Roy Keane would be more successful.
I don't think Emery is a coaching great or anything, and Sevilla was massively influenced by Monchi's talent as a DOF. But I think for a club that (should) walk it's league (PSG) the idea of appointing a coach who'd known fantastic success in European competition, to try and crack the CL, wasn't a bad one. I think it was an innovative bit of thinking and he deserved a shot. You never know where the next Mourinho will evolve, and the guy will add a league title and a couple more domestic trophies to his CV this year.
PSG have been fucking unlucky with their CL draws, and last year they were robbed by a referee.
Granted, but even BT were saying they were dominant, with the highlights just showing the clear chances.Highlights aren’t always a true picture. Man U battered us at Wembley in MOTD
