Not sure how to interpret JJ's latest. Does that mean it's off, or that we'll get him for less than that?

Lewis has been shorting the pound, how do you know this?

And if Lewis has any shares on the ftse they've fallen by even more than the bank collapse in 2007

I don't know it, but I'd be amazed if we hadn't agreed an option on a loan prior to the referendum results coming out. One of the guys in the ITK threads always used to talk about Euro loan agreements that we had in place prior to the last day of the transfer window so that we could move quickly if required. This isn't really much different to that.

Took it to mean if that's what's needed to get him then it ain't happening.

If true then it's a sad day when we can be outbid by West Ham, even with a record TV deal and guaranteed CL money.

read it as if we want him then it isn't going to cost us that, probably due to a mix of what's already been agreed and michy himself has probably said he's not going to anyone else, regardless of what bottle caps the spam put up. if you say we're not going to pay whatever then you'd use "we won't" , to say "we will not be", means we will but not at the level spoken of. Onions of course.

I don't like this.

I hated Redknapp, but would never stoop to name calling around his physical deformity (all that Saggy Face crap). I think the same line applies to Hodgson's speech impediment. Or do you see Kane as fair game on that front too.

The pound has fallen by the largest amount in a single session than any major currency since the war, yeah nothing to worry about

Who said nothing to worry about ? I was referring to the comment about the pound falling ten percent against the euro. It has fallen approx 10% against the US Dollar not the Euro.

Interpreting the latest from JJ in a positive way and that he is suggesting we are paying less than £28m, would possibly tie in with ITK update 11 from the Goat, which suggested the deal had been agreed back in May.

Looks like this is the clarification. Very disappointing, I guess it's Janssen, and maybe Sanabria as well? I trust Poch as always, but I really liked Batshuayi and it would be sickening to see him go to West Ham.

@walshiey everyone knows our chairman & should be able to work out what we will likely do in regards to paying for a CF & who will come in..

The latest news suggests Juventus and West Ham have bid, but West Ham have bid more. Although the player wants to join us. Quite depressing that West Ham are now able to pay more on players than us. But we have our own stadium coming that will allow us to spend more, and it's much better than the make-shift Athletics stadium they are getting.

Depressingly predictable. Even with the guaranteed CL money.

He'll end up at West Ham imo and we'll live to regret it.

It was never goign to happen when the mooted price was somewhere around 30 and personally I'm not sure I would have been comfortable if we broke our transfer record for a striker when we already have Kane anyway.

No it means we can't afford it.
Jeez

Or it means we are using the new TV revenue and the CL money to fund the stadium and not to invest in players.

You can argue whether this is a good thing or not ( I personally think all of the guaranteed CL money should be invested in the team), but the idea we can't afford it is not necessarily true.
