To be fair to Hudds, he has probably three of the best midfielders in the EPL swarming round him in Hazard, Mata and Ramires. He isn't the quickest and his close control in some what off, but he did do well and against teams like Stoke (especially if they do not pressurise) he would do well.

Some people get disgruntled with some of our performances aka Fulham, but no team play consistently well and there are times when we lose due to bad performances, but thats part and parcel of football. To expect us to win every game is naive and disrespectful to team we play against.

I feel that game would have be totally different if Kaboul and Sandro were playing. Kaboul would have smashed Ramires to the ball where Dawson was beat, and would have done better against Cahill which led to their first goal.

Overall I think we can be happy with the fight and determination of the players to get back into the game and get what could be a vital point (not too sure if Arsenal will get six points out of their last two games).

It will most likely go down to the last game where both the top 4 and relegation could be decided two games.

I also found it really funny that Neville was saying how poor Adebayor was for the first 25mins or so and then he come up with a worldy! Commentators curse (although he has been saying the same thing every game)

What the actual fuck are Hoddle and Souness talking about, surely to fucking god Hoddle knows Levy is buying the players, the amount of excuses made to make Harry look good and AVB shit is pissing me off, fucking clowns.. them's me chips..

I think Souness and Hoddle should go and give Twitchy a blowjob sandwich and be done with it. Bunch of faggots

And Huddlestone wasn't chasing shadows?!

He can play a nice pass once in a while but he is absolutely abysmal when the opposition break quickly and he doesn't have the sharpness or agility to make any telling defensive contribution to holt any attacks.

These are fundamental flaws in Huddlestones make up.

Valid point but it's something you have to accept will happen with Hudd in a game and that you are gambling on his other qualities being worth the risk. Parker's game is shielding the back four from runners and balls from midfield and nothing else. It's more of an issue if he's not doing that

0% you complete waffle :) . Why did we get dominated for the majority of the game and struggle to open them up? Not enough movement and drive. Why was that? Parker was stuck in no mans land all game slowing attacks down and not being able to influence the game with his tackling because he was continuously bypassed. It was pointless having him in that role. We could have played Siggurdson instead of Parker who would have provided running, movement, passing, a goal threat and would have pressed better than the slower Parker. Holtby and Hudd would then have had more movement to pass to, relieve pressure and open up Chelsea. Sig would have been able to get closer to Ade and run past him offering more pressure on the Chelsea back line. With that extra playing running on to the back line Chelsea would have had to give Bale, Lennon and Ade more room occassionaly. Instead by playing Parker and Hudd we had very static obvious movement that encouraged Chelsea to press us high up the pitch and isolated our forwards who could be man marked out of the game. Neither really cleaned up in front of the defence properly and neither was going to get involved in attacking the box.
Just to get this clear ..... are you saying that you know more than AVB?

Quite happy with a point, fucking ecstatic when Siggy put that ball in the net. I mean, they have a MUCH better squad available for tonight, they should fuck us up, but Adebayor put up his best performance for the season (ever?), and when Bale doesn't do something magical (we can't expect that every week), we should be happy with this point. We're still in the battle for 4th, arse have to play wigan and ncastle who both can go down if they don't perform, so I'm happy! Thought we would get smashed but thank fuck for Adebayor showing up finally!!

I dont disagree - but that is not his job is it? He is not the defensive midfielder meant to track runs - his role is different. And his role is not to "play a nice pass once in a while" - this is not FIFA 13. He keeps possession and distributes. Watch a replay of the second goal and you will know what i mean

'Played for 23 years at various levels' suggests he is over the age of 12 which judging by the rant I find hard to believe!

I have played at various levels too, most notably sea level and 5 meters above sea level. Good times.

Souness is just lazy. Extremely lazy.

How much does he get paid? Yet he comes out with 'AVB inherited this squad, it got 4th last year' etc

Er, half a dozen new signings or so, all settling in at once, no Modric or VDV, our two best players from last season, club captain and stalwart had to retire too...it's just so lazy for these experts to overlook such things when discussing this squad compared to last seasons.

The average two bob gooner in the pub would know all that and factor it in yet Souness just sits there spouting rubbish? Embarrassing.

Look your strawman logic is childish. I'm not saying I know more than AVB. I'm saying that he got a very specific call wrong that great influenced the game. I said before the game Hudd and Parker shouldn't play as a pair. Watching the game I think I was bang on. They either get in each others way or one is left playing too far forward in a position they're not suited to which today was Parker. He didn't get the chance to make many tackles or interceptions because the pitch is more open when the play is further from the defence and he can just be bypassed. He's not a great passer of the ball, he's not a great runner of the ball, he has average movement. We could have played Sig or hell even Carroll in place of him or Hudd today and lost nothing defensively from it. We'd have been more balanced, fluid and threatening.

Pretty decent show tonight lads, considering half the team are at best squad players. Really helps to keep some perspective and realise that the best squad in the league didn't beat us tonight and somehow we scored twice against them. I can't stand them, but there's no point pretending they're not packed with quality.
We on the other hand were missing:

Sandro, Kaboul, Dembele, a fit Lennon... add to that, the fact that we need a midfield general rather than Holtby, who is also at best cover and we have to recognise AVB has done pretty well so far with what he had to work with.

Our second goal was also a thing of beauty as well! At first I thought "what a flick by Adebayor" but on the replay you really appreciate how good Siggy's first touch and finish was.
