I know at least i will get some support from Gibbs on this one

Has anyone else seen this article - http://www.sunderlandecho.com/nufc/39I-left-unstable-Spurs-so.4152224.jp

Quotes from Hughton:

"I have come from a club which always spoke about stability but never really had it. There were many changes with managers in a short space of time."

"I left unstable Spurs, so I want stability at Newcastle"

What the hell is he smoking up there??? Newcastle a stable club?!?!?!:rofl::rofl:

They have had 4 different managers since 2004 (not including caretakers), we've had 3!!

In fact going back to 1997, if you include caretaker managers we had 11 total compared to Newcastle's 12!!! And that 11 includes David Pleat 3 times!

What a muppet. :bang:

To be fair he isn't actually saying that the barcodes have stability, but that he wants it from now on.

Exactly as Azrael said, he is stating that stability is what is required at Newcastle, not that they have it.

If you actually bothered to read what he said, instead of what you wanted to understand, you will see what he says is true. We had not had stability during his time here, despite the constant talk of it.

Disagree with what he says by all means, but seriously a man who had the best part of thirty years serving this club deserves a lot more respect than being called a muppet.

Probably part of the problem with him is staying with us for too long and without having seen what goes on elsewhere. So he accumulated all the bad habits of the club throughout the years without opening up his horizon.

All credit to him for sticking by all that time, but I think without taking a look at the outside world has dimmed his own outlook.

Jesus, people on this forum really like Houghton don't they, now i know what Gibbs was up against.

He's a muppet for joining a club like Newcastle if he wants stability, that's like joining a club like Fulham because you want CL football.

He can bang on about how much he wants stability at Newcastle but unless the clubs gets sold off to someone with more sense about them it just ain't going to happen.

If he lasts two seasons up there i'll be shocked and will happily eat my clipboard.

stupid thread. try reading what he said

I have, he says he didn't like the instability at Spurs and hopes that he will get stability at Newcastle.

I hope i'm going to win the lottery tomorrow, but i'd be a muppet if i went out and bought a ticket.

I did read that one :)

You can't fault Chris as he could only fit 5 Newcastle managers on his clipboard before he ran out of space.

That is why Spurs would often lose the second half in games under CH. It was because he ran out of space and after that he wanders in traffic.

Points:
  • Spell his name correctly.
  • Gibbs is an idiot that pointed the finger purely at Hughton even though NOBODY did anything about the poor training and fitness.
  • Hughton is not an idiot for saying he wants stability in hos current job.
  • How can he "bang on about"... He hasn't banged on about anything.
  • I hope you choke on your clipboard.

One should always make sure one does not misspell any words before pointing the finger at others for the same mistake. Point not valid.

I like the way you sort your points though. Nice touch.

 i agree'd with you when i took what you said to be true, gee talk about only seeing what you want to see.... some people only want to give people bad names and make things up to do so, stupid way to do it.

Points:
  • Spell his name correctly. - Just haven't got time to check through all my spelling what with all the site problems today.
  • Gibbs is an idiot that pointed the finger purely at Hughton even though NOBODY did anything about the poor training and fitness. - But in the end he was at least partly right about what he was saying.
  • Hughton is not an idiot for saying he wants stability in hos current job. - No he's not, nor did i say he was, my point is that he is a muppet for joining Newcastle if stability is what he is after.
  • How can he "bang on about"... He hasn't banged on about anything. - Sincerest apologies for offending your senstivie nature, i will correct myself and re-word in a more suitble fashion for you "He can talk about how much...." - there happy??
  • I hope you choke on your clipboard. - Cheers, nice and friendly of you, good to see you have a mature approach to forum discussions.

You'd be more of a muppet if you hoped to win the lottery and didn't buy a ticket.

You muppet!

What are you on about, the bits in '...' are straight up quotes from the article?!?! I didn't make it up. Take it up with the Sunderland Echo if you think the quotes are wrong.

Chelsea will be on their third manager in one calendar year when their next appointment is made.

There's a myth about stability these days unfortunately. Unless you are ferguson or Wenger.

How so? The odds for the jackpot are 14 million to 1. Even the odds of getting a tenner are more than 50 to 1.

I'd be better of walking into a bookies and laying my £1 down on the first random horse i pick out of a hat.

Shit i'd be better off betting on almost anything else in the world rather than the lottery.
