So Hughton is a muppet and Ginola is a grade A twat? Honestly, I have no idea why you are getting a backlash on a Spurs forum brasil_spur

He was a great player for us, agreed. But his role in the coaching set-up coincided with the least successful 15 years in Spurs history as a club.

It also coincided with the players available being arguably the worst in the history of the club, with the exception of the last two and a half years of his tenure, when we finished fifth and fifth.

Point taken, but then the same people are going on about how good it would be to sign to Eto'o who is renowned for being an arsehole.

I think people have some troubles seperating between someone playing good football for their team and their real life personality.

To be honest i'd be happy enough if we had a complete bunch of tossers for players if we were winning the Prem and CL every season. Other people may differ in this opinion and prefer 'nice' players who don't win much of anything, but for the game is about playing great football to watch and winning, not about the personality attributes of the players.

...Hughton...

What a muppet. :bang:

What do you expect him to say? To bullshit about Spurs having been a stable side. We can only dream that we will have stability under Ramos and Poyet, but for the past 20 odd years the only stability we've had has been Hughton himself.

So in my opinion Hughton is more qualified than anyone to comment on Spurs.

As for Newcastle, he was expressing his wish that they will have stability, not that they have been more stable than Spurs.

When he returns next year for the Necastle match he deserves to be welcomed and celebrated for the loyal Spurs that he has been for what must be 30 years.

Read it properly, he says he wants stability at Newcastle.. he doesn't say they have it.

And Chris, whilst being Mr Average was a great servant to the club who deserves some respect.

I don't disagree, I've said for years we need a proper **** in midfield.

Chelsea will be on their third manager in one calendar year when their next appointment is made.

There's a myth about stability these days unfortunately. Unless you are ferguson or Wenger.

Or the legend that is Graham Turner

 good point Dougal

I remember reading an interview with Ginola a few years back and he said that Spurs were the worst club he ever played for.

So I guess if he's a twat, at least he's an honest twat; we were awful back then.

I think at one point Ginola had the opportunity to play at Barca, but instead ended up battling relegation in North London with Vega and Edinburgh as team mates.

And then WE had the gall to tell him he wasn't needed and flog him on.

I never said that he said that Newcastle has stability, everyone who says i need to read the article properly first need to read my post properly first.

My opinion is that he is a muppet for going to a club like Newcastle if club stability is something he wants (because 'Newcastle' is to 'stability' what 'McClaren' is to 'successful enlgand manager'.

So where should he have gone?

I find it quite interesting that the more people leave spurs, the more we hear about instability and politics taking over the club behind the scenes.

Hughton wants stability at Newcastle...big deal, who doesn't want stability in their working environment? I fail to see how he'sw a mug by voicing his opinion - which holds a lot more water than ours considering he's worked for both clubs.

I see no reason at all for this dogshit thread

Such a club exists?

and if so, why would they be looking for a new assistant manager?

Man Utd are probably considered the most stable club in the world, yet a few seasons back had to look for a new assistant manager when Queiroz left.

You make some sensible comments about Hughton, but I strongly disagree with your last point. This has been a superb thread. Surely people who have nothing to argue about arguing about nothing stirs the soul of every spurscommunity member. Brasil Spurs did us proud!

sorry maybe I should explain where I got the "NEEDS" from.

NEWCASTLE NEEED STABILITY, so chris WANTS it there, we wants it because Newcastle DONT HAVE IT. He belives that with stability will come succsses and with succsses his rep will rise, he will get a pay rise, its his job. He looked at Newcastle and realised that they needed stability, and mentions that stability was not at spurs (which it wasnt) and points out that Newcastle must not "talk about stability" but actually do it!
