His recent form is questionable. I belive he will come good.

The sugestions above about shifting him on is crazy. I guess its the same people who always thinks that the guy on the bench would do a much better job than the ones playing.

By recent form do you mean the past 12 months?

Definitely needs dropping. He's been completely ineffective in the majority of games this season.

Last season he scored last minute winners against Hull, Swansea and Sunderland.

Now by the 85th minute Pochettino has hauled him off. However bad he plays he has the coolness to influence a game at the death.

I hate to criticise Pochettino but I feel he needs to show more faith in Eriksen based on what we've seen he can do

Yeah, last season. He's not scored in the league from open play in almost a year. That's unacceptable for a player who's supposed to be our #10.

How much more faith can Poch show in him? He's started every league game but 3 since Poch arrived.

His game is all about close control and intricate play. And he is very very good at it.
But he has no awareness of anyone more than 10 yds away - I don't think he can even see them.
Taking corners for him is like kicking a ball into the fog.
He needs a nice pair of NHS specs.

Christian Eriksen will seek talks with Mauricio Pochettino over his future role at Tottenham, according to reports.

The London Evening Standard claim that, according to their sources, Eriksen ‘is growing increasingly mystified’ at his lack of chances in what he believes to be his best position – the No 10 role.

Despite featuring regularly behind the striker for Denmark, as well as at former club Ajax, Eriksen has started in the No 10 role just four times in the Premier League this season, with Dele Alli (nine) favoured far more often.

Eriksen has started nine games on the left and three on the right, but was handed an opportunity in a central position behind Harry Kane on Wednesday against Leicester. Spurs lost 1-0, with Eriksen making fewer passes than all but two outfield starters for the hosts.

According to the Evening Standard, Eriksen ‘believes he would be able to offer more centrally’, and is keen to discuss his role with manager Pochettino. The 23-year-old ‘will accept whatever instructions’ his boss gives him, the article adds, with Eriksen simply seeking clarity.

I was a little bit concerned that he wasn't imposing himself as much as he should, but I was happy to wait for him to improve on this. After the last couple of weeks I firmly believe Son should be given a run of games as we need to be more direct. I also think when him and Carroll both play we overplay it and don't always shoot quick enough. We also lack our usual power and toughness.

Just posted in the missing Mason thread, that I think he should be tried in the midfield two, think even if it doesn't work it would bring it home to Christian that things need to change...

Tim, is that you?

Oh actually, it can't be because you're midfield would probably look more like

In the other thread, I did say against Sunderland at home and games of that nature (will cede possession undoubtedly).

Just think Poch needs to try something more drastic to jerk Eriksen to life.

@TropicalYid I assume your dislike rating and lack of reply is because they don't have a 'stop making me look stupid' rating?

Assume whatever you want. I just disliked your post.
I dont think his form has been all bad for the last 12 months. He is definitely not as sparkling as we have seen him before but I do think he has contributed to the fine season we are seeing now from our team.

I think something is going on between Poch and Christian...

And I think he gets way to much slaying in here. Eriksen is ome of the most special players we have in our team.

Often when he drifts out of games, I think its just as much a problem with lack og movement from his teammates.

Also he is one of the most hard workers in distance run every game we play.

He is has the ability to make those killer box opening passes that opens up a defense, but for him to do what he does best he needs some clever movement forward and he gets very little of that.
