I've been leading the charge this summer in advocating for Eriksen.. I've made many points but there are two more specifically I want to mention.

1. While playing for an average Ajax team in the Champions League last year, he recorded 1 goal and 4 assists in 6 group matches against Dortmund, Man City, and Real Madrid.... At 20 years old, I might add.

2. He has scored goals in 5 of the last 6 Eredevisie games he's played and scored for Denmark, so he really is in top form. There's a reason Overmars said they don't want to lose him now, because he on the precipice of greatness.

Top top top top signing if we close it out.

I remember the man city game. He was instrumental.

Don't think we should underestimate his dead ball ability as we do lack a set piece specialist in the likely absence of Bale.

Don't think Lamela takes them for Roma but could be wrong.

He takes a mean dead ball too.

With our battalion of monsters we could really take advantage of free kicks and corners, not to mention replacing GB's direct FKs.

I'm sure someone must have posted this already, but has anyone else seen that he's from Middelfart? :woot:

Also, we might as well pick up Viktor Fischer while we're at it no? :D

It's certainly another vacancy in the side that he can fill and another reason for his signature.

The top to bottom talent we are putting together is pretty unreal. If Holtby and Eriksen are our answers for the creative midfielder, that competition is going to be a ton of fun to watch.

Totti takes them at Roma, of course. All of Lamela's goals last year were from open play. I've never actually seen him take one to tell the truth, but considering he's good a good shot and good technique I wouldn't be surprised if he could.

I think he doesn't, but he is very good at it.
Lamela for the right sided FKs and Eriksen for the left sided :)

I'm kinda hoping, perhaps naively, that they'll both be in the team - Holtby, Eriksen and Lamela behind Soldado. Then some combination of the beasts behind them

One thing,

didn't he say he didn't want to leave Ajax for a club not in the UCL?? Ajax have accepted our offer but will he? suppose it depends how convincing Baldini/AVB are and if he feels he isn't going to get a better offer anytime soon

He has said a lot of positive things about us. The CL thing came from his agent iirc
