Am sure most of us Spurs fans all hold him close to our hearts. So good to see many messages of solidarity. Nice of his Inter teammate to dedicate his goal.

Thank the Lord it appears he will survive. Such a class player and always seemed like a quiet, good-character professional. Not sure where his career goes from here and if he’ll play again but would love to bring him back to Spurs in some sort of capacity down the line.

Just dreadful scenes tonight. One of the true heroes for us for the last few years and really gives you some perspective on life and football. Always a fan of him, and always will be. Come through strong, my man x

Remember that little drop off pass he did to Gylfi Sigurdsson vs Norwich. Either his first or one of his first games. Knew we had a true Spurs player from that moment.

Yeah was his debut, scored his first goal the next game in Europa. Was lucky enough to witness both in the flesh.

That period where there looked a real possibility the worst could happen was terrible. Was very relieved to see that picture with his eyes open. We put so much mental energy into caring about these players and I was begging for him to be okay when I saw what happened. I hope he recovers well and we see what the future holds for him.

Bullshit excuse from Linekar about BBC being subject to UEFA feed - is that why you missed the start of the second half jabbering away in the studio?!

I've only just seen this on TV. Totally shocked. The same horrible feeling as Fabrice Muamba of complete numbness. Muamba pulled through with excellent medical support and I can only hope and pray that Eriksen does precisely the same.

I have shed a tear or two this evening.

Someone who I don’t know, that doesn’t know me.

I have said in other threads that football is “a bit more than a game, but not a hill worth dying on”.

I think the impact this has had on me emotionally this evening renders both parts of that statement vehemently true.

Tonight could have easily been so much worse.

Let’s be thankful that our number 23 is seemingly ok.

Funny how these things effect you.

One of my son's very close friends took his own life about 6 weeks ago.

I found myself inadvertently crying here and there. In fact, I was trying to tell my Mom about it, but I couldn't get the words out. Also might have something to do with the fact that he looks just like my son. Both late teens.

Also, this situation is probably something we can personally relate to, as we have people we know, people we love die from something like this. Life is fragile in so many ways. My father died at 70. Something similar to this. But no one was there. He died alone. And yeah, I see stuff like this too, and can't help but cry.

I see pictures of my dad sometimes, and I cry. In fact, my wife framed one I found right before christmas. And her very wise father told her to give it to me before christmas. He knew. I looked at. Touched his smiling face. Shared it with my son... and then... BOOM... Waterworks aplenty!

Hug those you care for. Care for all those fighting the hard battle. Reach out to those in pain. Even if they are a stranger. It's amazing how much it helps people release their hurt, their confusion, their fear, their anguish. Just holding a hand.

That's it from me friends. Big love to you all. And once I'm ready to post again, I'll be back. In the meantime, I'll keeping a watchful eye. Bon chance, mom amis.

Mate, my sister's partner of 18 years took his own life in January. I fucking loved that guy. So yeah, this. x

Not sure if anyone will care about this, but someone just replied to a comment of mine from 2011 about Eriksen... I forgot about this: (N NoBus is my YouTube account)

Calling 19-year-old Eriksen a kid and scouting him to come to Spurs 2 full years before we signed him in 2013. We’re only 3 years apart in age, I really grew up with his entire career.. My god man, the tears are coming again.

Really hoping he makes a full recovery and is able to get back to playing professional football. Rather strange with all the medical tests etc football clubs do on their players he should have such a terrible thing happen to him without any warning. Get well soon !

I've not seen the Eriksen incident on TV yet. Not sure I want to. So glad he hopefully seems to be doing much better.
