33 appearances for Lyon but only 1700 minutes played means he's mainly come off the bench, with 8 goals. IMO seems very inexperienced at the moment.

9 appearances for Cameroon with 4 goals

Transfermarrkt has him as a CF but able to play left or right as a WF

Aged 20, sounds more like a 3rd striker rather than 2nd striker to me,

http://www.olweb.fr/en/article/ol-s-attack-up-there-with-the-best-67925.html

Also got 6 assists per OL website, maybe would upgrade my assessment of him from 3rd striker to 2nd striker - still inexperienced, but basically played in many f OL's last season and with 8 goals and 6 assists, got a decent return. Would imagine with that number of assists he's played a few games as WF rather than CF

Has anyone actually seen this dude play a full match?
Had anyone even heard of him before today?for those who have, you're appraisals would be great.

ATM the only media carrying this story is The Sun, or like 'Goal repeating the story but citing the Sun as source.. Be good to have other media sources or ITK to back up the story.

N'jie got a lot of shit from Lyon supporters in the past which may colour the perception of him now, and a lot of it was unjust IMO. He wasn't as advanced as Fekir or Lacazette and had some Townsend-esque games but has improved a lot and played at a high level in 2015. He has a shitload of pace, a great work rate, and a jack-of-all trades approach up front. Mostly a winger though, I don't see him as a lone striker.

I doubt Lyon would sell him cheap but he is quality.

Sounds very promising.

I'd rather we avoided signing too many African players unless they are exceptional. Every other year we will be missing them in January/Feb and risking our season. Losing Bentaleb is bad enough signing many more and being with out them would be difficult to manage...

Bentaleb only missed 3 PL games and his team were knocked out 1 week earlier than the final, so would have only missed 4 if they had won it. I don't think 4 games every 2 years is a problem.

Well when you can sign a player from any other federation and not have the same issue why risk missing out on the 12 points you could lose by not being at full strenght?

But by the same token they'll be relatively fresh for the start of the 2016/17 compared with the majority who have gone to the Euros.

It just doesnt make any sense, especially when people are saying he is like Townsend? Why not just stick with the player we have and stop with the fifa Ultimate team bull shit...

One person said he had some Townsend-esque games does not equate to him being the exact same player, especially as the poster goes on to say he's developed significantly, something which Townsend has failed to do.

But if we buy mediocre ones we won't miss them when they go.

It's a Catch 22 situation...

What I think and whom I may want has zero to do with anything!!!

If Mitchell has scouted him and, he and Poch, want him then get him..

If not walk on to the next.

Looks speedy, unselfish, pretty good dribbler, pretty good finisher. We could certainly do worse. Of course it's the Sun so probably nothing in it anyway. Maybe Assou-Ekotto has put in a good word for us LOL

there's a bit about half way in where he runs from inside his own half to the edge of the box, looks up a couple of times and then plays a great pass across the box for his teammate who scores. These are things i'm not used to seeing at Spurs since Mr Bale left :(

I also like the confidence of his finish for Cameroon, the chest and volley. Looks a decent player!
