He does not look particularly good in the first video in my opinion (the one against Bordeaux). Pass completion of, what, 5%? He is fast, though.

I don't mind us spending money to develop young, promising players, especially under Poch, but I will be worried if we go into the season with only three young strikers (Kane and two of Berahino, N'Jie and Werner). We obviously need to get rid of Adebayor, but Kane and Soldado with one of those young prospects would be much better than having Kane and a couple of unproven players. I don't expect Kane to regress or anything (if anything, he'll keep getting better), but I don't think it's responsible to put everything on his shoulders, even if he's willing to take it.

You mention you would rather have Soldado than two unproven young prospects when Soldado has proven that he can`t cut it in the EPL.

Looks like he might be decent for counter-attacking towards the end of games but wouldn't see him as a starter yet on what I've seen. We do need pace though so hopefully Poch can work his magic if he comes.

If Kane, at 22, is our oldest striker, then I think we could run into some problems. I don't mean that Soldado should be relied on or anything, but some of these matches, especially ones that we have to travel in Europe or play away in the League Cup or FA Cup, can't always be given to young players and Kane can't play every match. If we can replace Soldado with another striker who can take over that role, then great, but that's not always that easy. I mean, we saw that with Soldado. And while his goal scoring has been poor and I don't expect him to magically fix that, he has played well for us most of the time, especially in his hold up play and passing.

Again, not saying we need to rely on him or anything, but he's experienced and familiar with the squad and that's beneficial. If we go with Kane and a group of U-21 strikers as our only option, then we leave ourselves with the potential of relying on a thin and inexperienced squad.

But we didn't buy Soldado for his general link up play, he`s been a massive failure. If a young prospect can come in and score 5 or more goals its an instant upgrade.

Agreed, but a majority of our games are against weaker opposition that focus on defending. That means that N'Jie would see his opportunities limited (he will probably come on when we're leading to see out games).
That said, I am obviously unable to judge his potential...

I think we need two forwards
One more a WF who can play CF
The other more of a natural CF
Just for balance and flexibility, whilst retaining and element of specialist skillet.
WF/CF - Njie or Werner
CF - Berahino or Austin

His pass completion rate is 4% less than Eriksen's, and better than Anthony Martial who everyone was falling over themselves to sign two months ago.

At this point, we have to give up on Soldado's fee, which probably isn't the full 26m that's usually tossed around anyways, because it seemed like almost half of it was installments/performance based around the time. He has experience in top leagues and Europe and he can do a job there.

That said, my point is less about keeping Soldado and more about not having all of our strikers being kids. We have a lot of matches to play and a lot of high profile and/or difficult ones. Not every young player has the absurd confidence and talent of Kane, he is special for a reason, so it's important to have that experience in the side. I just don't think that it would be responsible to go into the season with so much inexperience, it's just too risky.

Not seen this guy, but we do lack pace and directness, so wouldn't be against this signing. However, if he's the only striker we sign then it's simply not good enough.

We need a serious alternative for Kane, not just a raw kid like him or Werner. If we're only going to sign one striker I'd rather it was Austin.

I still don't know why we weren't interested in Mitrovic.
Because he's a fucking nutjob

Never seen him apart from YouTube which of course is always dangerous.

However it is normally dangerous because it makes the player look better then they are. From the clips I have seen I'm not impressed at all. Pace, yes absolutely. However touch, finishing, control all look pretty bang average to my ignorant eyes.
I was watching thinking "that shot wouldn't go in past a prem GK" "that pass wouldn't get through a prem CB"

Regarding our transfers I feel like Kerry from Homeland when she comes off of her meds. It's messing me up big time! cannot believe we haven't signed an attacking player yet
