7 of last nights starting XI also started against Tranmere on a cold Friday night in the FA Cup 3rd round in January.
They managed to win that tougher match 7-0.

I’d argue the blame lays with the players more so than the manager.

Massively worrying attitude problem last night.

For months he has been off form and it would be correct to question his commitment. Last night in his short appearance however I couldn't. He wasn't brilliant but he was getting at the ref about decisions. He did miss the penalty (is that 3 on the trot?) but no penalty takers score them all and his confidence is probably shattered with the previous penalties and all the stick he is getting. I think he does care and would like to turn it around but he is in a rot. Whether he should play or take penalties is a valid discussion but I don't think we should rule out that he does care.
Agree, but his Penalties and set plays drives me nuts, seems to do well when he is taking them for Denmark, got 2 penalties in one game last month, OK they were against Gibraltar but still scored.

Honestly - he is not doing it on purpose - no sane person would

Definitely not, I think he knows hes having a mare and is feeling the pressure massively. I bet he's also well aware that's it's nothing compared to when you're at Madrid, which is probably making him feel even worse as he sees his dream slipping away

I still believe in Poch. He's shown loyalty to us in the past and we should do the same to him now. He said the revolution would be painful, he wanted a big turnover of players because he saw this coming. He didn't get it. Stick with him and he'll get it back. Sacking managers should be a last resort.

Where do you get he wanted a big turn over of players? If he did he was being unrealistic and I don't think he is.

He said multiple times at the end of last season there needed to be a big changeover and it would be painful, but was necessary.

The manager is responsible.

If the players have an "attitude" problem then he should recognize that and drop them, after all he did that with three or four players in his first season at the club.

Facts are facts, five wins in twenty one games is far from being even half decent. If you take away one game (CL final) then the past half a season has been relegation form.

He’s been slated for dropping players this season. Can’t do right for doing wrong.

More for the results than the dropping of players.
If we win people wouldn't give a fuck if Terry the groundsman was playing.

Having problem players, never mind dropping them, is going to affect results. He’s thoughts are jumping from window to window because he’s not happy with the players he has at his disposal. He has spoken of players coming through a few years ago and mentioned Mason. Clearly another revolution is needed until the problem players are sidelined and the team is filled with hunger and desire to play for the manager.

In all seriousness, and its probably not a great analogy, but it feels like for the last 4/5 years, we've built this lovely massive house from the ground up, just needed the finishing touches put on it, but for whatever reason we've decided to bulldoze it and start from scratch.
So bloody frustrating.

Why are people assuming Poch wants to be here to turn things around, long term anyway.

Think many are missing the elephant in the room... He's thinking about life after Tottenham, regularly I'd imagine, which is a big part of the problem I'd suspect.

Have RM ever taken on a manager who has won nothing, or one who's motivational qualities are being pulled apart on a daily basis? Does Poch really think he could do a job there? It seems to me that he's reached a point where he has been given the stadium, infrastructure, backroom staff, training facilities and new players that he asked for and it's suddenly all gone pear shaped. To me, it seems that he doesn't have the bottle to take the final step and that's not a good thing to have on your CV. To be highly regarded he has to weather a storm precisely like the one we're in now.

Lopetegui had only won at youth level with Spain, but he had won a title at Real as a player. His work with the Spanish federation would have bought him time. I am not sure Poch would have that luxury in that dressing room.

If he is having issues with our current squad who have won nothing imagine how he would get on with a team who have won everything.

Houses don’t have a lifespan as short as a football team. Teams need rebuilding. Especially if they haven’t been modernised enough.

Can you find me any quotes? Could it be you or I have misinterpreted something he said?
