Home to S****horpe in the Cup, 1987. I wonder how many of the people who got tickets for the Semi and Final bothered to go to the Scunny game.

If I'm reading the weather site above right, it was between -1C and -2C with winds of around 20kph.

Yeah, that would be incredibly uncomfortable, just standing in that for 90 minutes.

Two games stick out - both at Wembley - one was Brighton where Aurier scored the miskick cross (maybe Emersons hould start miskicking them? jus a thought) and the West Ham game where Sons cored that logn ranger.

Wembley was always cold - perhaps because it was pretty high up but they were freezing cold.

It's the fact that you're not moving around and just sitting or standing while watching a game, which makes it so cold.

If you were going for a brisk walk it wouldn't be so bad.

This one’s easy for me. Got half way to Burnley the other month just to realise I didn’t pick my coat up. I was in a T-shirt.
Got off the coach into snow, got to the away pub (cricket ground) and had a snowball fight, just for the game to get called off shortly after and the 14 hours of travelling that day was for a snowball fight and some chips, cheese and gravy ? will be doing it all again, hopefully with a coat this time whenever it’s rescheduled! I am sure I was being targeted for being the only melon in a T-shirt….:cautious:

I decided to buy my family and I tickets right next to the away end for that Rochdale game at Wembley. So not only were we freezing cold and being snowed on, but the away end kept throwing snowballs at us.

Away at Middlesbrough. January or Feb, match. a cup. 1-1 awful match. I think my toes are still thawing out.... that was horrific. And Middlesbrough is a total hole of a place.... their best shop on the town center is called Binns.

Oldham away, early 90’s. It was early April and bitterly cold. (I think Boundary Park is the highest ground in England). Of course we lost 1-0, poor game, awful performance. Also remember Sheff Utd putting 6 (six) past us in the snow in February, again early 90’s. Grim.

I can't remember who it was against now, but it was the only game I got to go to the season when there was a corner of the stadium missing at White Hart Lane, our last season there. I was sitting right next to it and the wind blowing through it was so so cold. When I got up to leave at the end my legs felt like they wouldn't move i was so cold.

WBA away. Was -5 pitchside for an evening KO. We were 2-0 down having started with Gregorz Rasiak up front, who is the worst player I’ve ever seen play for us. Mido I believe pulled one back.
The path they make away fans leave stadium on was like an ice rink too
It's funny - I think that's the game I mentioned above; but I don't remember that one being that cold.

Vs Man Utd 80"s- a live league game experiment on TV - Friday evening I seem to remember. Manchester was cold, wet and miserable . I and a friend just wore t-shirts. Went in protest against live TV football. There was only a few supporters there so lots of space, so no heat in numbers or shielding from the chill. Lost 4-1 Brazil up front. Long drive home.

Fulham January,1984 FA cup.
Freezing cold wind off the Thames.
Dreadful game. Roberts emergency goal keeper in a 0-0 draw.
Never been so cold at a football match.

I remember the game where we beat Fulham in December 17. Holtby and Chirches scored. I was sitting at the end of stand, right by the Thames. The cold air off it was horrendous.

Birmingham away 2010. They got a last minute equaliser. Freezing cold and horrible !

For the Rochdale game it was cold but getting out of Wembley was a breeze - got the train back to Sunny Saafend in double quick time . There was heavy snow while driving back from the station and about a mile from home got stuck in a snow drift could not move it back or forward had just about enough phone battery to phone the AA and had to wait for ages for them as they were so busy eventually got towed out at about 3 in the morning it was murder
Fulham and West Brom are the coldest grounds
