Well, I did think that the second half against Wolves was one of our worst halves in years. But we've managed to surpass it twice in a week. Absolutely class. 5 players, half the fucking team, either making insane errors directly leading to goals (Sanchez, Gazza and KWP) or missing chances it's easier to score (N'Koudou, Trippier), while we have made literally zero - not even a shot on goal! - in open play against a second-string defence with Poch choosing not a field a single creative player.

The miraculous thing is that this Palace side is bad enough that we still have a chance to turn it around. But I don't have that much confidence, because this season goes from bad to worse with the problems on and off the field and it very much looks like we're about to lose a chance at a trophy for the third time in a single month leaving only the Champions League (LMAO!). Start as you mean to go on, huh?

I quibbled about the selection and shape before the match, as of HT it's gone as bad as I feared it would - in very predictable ways. Three centrebacks plus Skipp and Dier are just overkill, Moura and Nkoudou really aren't 'float around behind the striker and get on the ball' players, and it's not KWP's fault but he isn't going to provide touchline hugging width and go on the outside when he's on the left.

Why not use your two actual wingers, I don't know, on the wings maybe? Revolutionary idea. Think we should have gone something like 4-4-2, and that first half has made me think that even more.
