The thing is we've been identifying the same targets as Liverpool for years. The highering of Mitchell is supposed to give us an edge. If we are still just going for the same players as Liverpool then nothing has changed.
We have already done that though with Wimmer, and we'll most likely do that again in the future. I think most players we target will be targets for other big clubs, unless we go down the route of signings players from league one and leagues like the Polish league.

I could live with having the next Lewandowski.

QUOTE="fatpiranha, post: 4610675, member: 60"]Suarez was pre Brenda and Studge has managed 4 premiership goals this season.

Brenda has signed:
Studge
Lambert
Markovic
Assaidi
Borini
Carroll
Sinclair
Yesil
Aspas
Teixiera

The case for the prosecution rests :pompous:.[/QUOTE]
Carroll was signed the same window as Suarez. Sturridge in fairness was injured most of the season but the rest were terrible.

TBF he can't say anything else without admitting Pool have made an illegal approach.

This is my opinion too. Journos are saying we have made a move too late and Ings won't change his mind now. Only way Liverpool have made a move is illegally - just the real situation we live in now. May as well get rid of the rules to be honest

Him and Kane would be a great dynamic duo for us. He just has to come here, it totally makes sense. He's a second striker thus him and Kane would easily fit in the same team.

I could live with having the next Lewandowski.
Moanes Dabour has a shot at making it from a lower league. He has good positioning, reads the game well and can finish. He's Israeli too which would be pretty neat for the club.

Such an interesting and unusual tactic on our part. If it's true we've tried this, it's quite evident we very much want this guy. I'm pleased to see it, as I think he'd be a brilliant grab.

Another advantage to this method (beyond just getting a jump on the competition) is it also brings Ings to the table quickly, and if he doesn't like our offer and makes it abundantly clear he wants to go elsewhere, we lose nothing and we've plenty of time to move on to other targets. I really, really like this strategy if it's true.
