Im sorry but back in planet real life where people work hard and some only get 30k a year at what point is 65k a week not paid enough

Since when did the market rate for a footballer be more in year than a nurse would earn in a lifetime?

Unfortunately, some time ago. It stinks, but there is nothing we can do about it, as we are the problem. It's our love and passion for the clubs which makes the game such a spectacle to watch on TV which helps to generate the outrageous and ridiculous salaries these players earn after tax.

And the bottom line is we pay less to top players than most clubs so it was only a matter of time before someone pulled Levy up on it.

This is hardly a new situation either, Cashley did pretty much the same thing to Arsenal and we were probably all laughing then.

The whole reason it was done with a few days to go before the season starts was for maximum disruption.

Exactly. The press hate the fact that we've finished above their favourite clubs Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal for the last two seasons (in Liverpool's case about 10) and should have won the league at least once. They need no invitation to start stirring shit whether there's anything to base it on or not, and the day before the start of the season is the perfect time to try and cause as much disruption as possible. The Daily Seig Heil's 'Spurs players lining up to leave' is straight out of the made-up-over-sensationalised-bullshit trough and I'm surprised anyone would even give it the time of day.

Another ting that may have slipped Rose's grasp is if he hadn't been injured since January (not his fault but not our fault either that we were without best left back in league for a long period) we may well have beaten Chelsea in FA cup semi as not then playing Son as left wing back.

Who knows we could then have gone on to win the cup...

And it's a bit daft him complaining about not being paid what he's worth when he hasn't played football in 6 months...

It's like someone in office being on long-term sick leave then coming straight in and demanding a pay rise lol.

I very much doubt it was a pat on the back from the players or heros welcome, i bet it was an ironic cheers in the sense they know matey boy is gunna get it from Poch, like on the school ground someones been naughty and everyones ironically jeering him as he will be in trouble.

Over 100 pages?? Jesus. Pretty sure everyone has vented their opinions. Can we call it a day now? Let's see what the club do next, I'm guessing it will be addressed behind closed doors. We won't sell him as every other player will know if the club says your not for sale then you simply ring the current bun up and get your move. I would much rather read about the incoming threads rather than the Danny I'm thick as pig shit thread going over the same shit all the time. No disrespect meant but everything has been said to death.

Performance and result on Sunday are now so much more important after all this bullshit.

I want to see all 11 men putting their all in and showing that they are just what they have been for the last two years, the hardest working, most together bunch in the league... Lose and we'll be the centre of the worst kind of attention at the worst possible time.

Completely agree.

The sooner Corbyn gets into Downing Street and puts a 100% tax rate on incomes over £250,000 per year, the better!

They can't even fucking subedit it properly.

"The full-back was fined two weeks’ wages and apologised to for the timing of his comments."

So the club apologised to him, did it? Did it?[/QUOTE

:poop::poop::poop:

1st thing I spotted too.

Fucking embarrassing that they cannot grasp basic grammar at a national newspaper.

Complete shitrag! :poop::poop::poop:

I agree with you, but to be fair to Rose, a professional athletes career is not the same as a nurses. Athletes have a limited shelf life and for a most of them what they make before age 35 they have to live off of for the rest of their lives. I don't begrudge Rose making as much as he possibly can while he still can. If he wants to move to United I'd understand. It's the way he's going about doing so that's classless. To negotiate through the media and take a giant shit on the fans that supported you when you were terrible and the manager without whom you may not even still have a career is awful. If he wanted a move he should have went to Levy and Poch behind closed doors. They deserved that respect for everything they've done for him in his career.

The problem with the idea behind the squad applauding him in training idea is that even if they agreed with him and agreed with him 1000%, what kind of **** would you be to do some kind of weird B-list Hollywood shit like that. Could you really imagine Kane, Vertonghen, Lloris, Toby standing there like clowns going, "Get in Danny, stick it to him bruh!" get fucked :LOL::LOL:

Always liked Collomosse coverage of Spurs and don't see him as an opportunist or bullshitter. No talk of mutiny or exodus here but general questions over wage structure which is fair enough. I'd imagine we will be looking to address a lot of this over the coming months however.

Problem with the West Ham and Watford examples is other players in their starting XIs probably earn under £20k a week. We can't pay all of our team £150k just like that, as much as I'd like us to.

Hazard gets £200k, but no one else at Chelsea is near. Courtois is on the same as Lloris apparently.

I looked at Madrid earlier, Marcelo is on £80k and is IMO the best left back around. Alaba at Bayern is on similar! This is all a bit misguided to be fair.
And where do Alaba and Marcelo play? Not in leagues where teams get £150m+ every season in fucking tv money.

I think many of you are reading to literally into the word "applaud". My take is that the players didn't actually applaud as in clap, but are more likely privately agreeing and behind what Danny says. Big difference and if we are all being honest here, Danny was 100% spot on. The only thing he screwed up on was the timing and method.

If this is true(big if) about them all applauding him then they can all go fuck themselves

Whilst we all knew they didn't give a fuck about us or the club, they pretended they did and to now destroy everything poch has built because they've started to believe their own hype is unforgivable imo

Do they not realise most of them have been fucking created by poch and this is so disrespectful to him and to us, even if they hate levy

Stupid ungrateful pricks
Think it more likely to be...

Ben Davies...Three snooker balls in his new Nike Training socks...up behind Rose...WACK. WACK

"RIGHT ROSE YOU BASTARD, I'M THE DANNY NOW, NEXT TIME, I'LL KILL YA!"

"I'M THE F***ING ING DANNY NOW!!"

"Lets all hate the sun and the players now instead of focusing on the real problem!" - SC

Daniel Levy would be proud of you guys. Always having dear leaders back. He'd be so proud if he actually gave a shit about what fans think.

I'm no BDOSL, so your obvious anger is misplaced here. I want us to start paying our players more, but there is a scale at all clubs. Strikers get paid more than full backs etc... Just because Hernandez gets £140k at WH doesn't mean we have to pay our whole 18 man match day squad the same.

I do think this is interesting personally, more in the case of how bad the Manc clubs negotiation policies are when they pay players like Walker twice as much as genuine world class players get at other top clubs, but I guess it leads to handy destabilisation of rivals like this. But guess they can afford it so why not?

All I'm saying is that some of the logic supposedly being used by our players is flawed, especially considering our focus right now is probably transfers over contracts, and both may end up being delivered upon in the coming weeks.

We are the 6th best paying club in the league, I don't think we'll ever compete with City, UTD and the chavs. We can get to where Arse are (as long as we start winning things) and Liverpool are reckless with the wages they pay. The players should know that, them complaining less than a year after getting improved contracts is not on.

if after increased revenue from the new stadium, sponsorship etc we're not paying or best players north of 120k then they have the right to knock on Levy's door

Problem is where, like in this case the super-rich tap up our players. Then the crazy money becomes real. We need to try and ride this storm and hope they get their shit in order enough to not pay our inflated prices on fees in future.

For what it's worth I can see the likes of Kane and Alli, hopefully others getting sharp raises in the next year or 2 which will help matters, like you said if that doesn't happen when the new stadium arrives then the club are in the wrong.

To be honest, i am fine with the wage part in the interview (true but wrong timing). But the google part is really poor and disrespecting some of our current players. Plus, i think you must know who sissoko is before we bought him
