Get him out of our club we've suvived bigger best players leaving than this twat. It's never about the player that leaves more about the player that replaces them. Can't have such a disrespectful knob in our club.
And he keeps harping on the abuses he gotten from fans when he's not at his best that time.. Ok, well, sorry to hear that. But I mean, should just stop that, don't ramble on a few timea.. I believe prior to his interview there are many more fans loving him! Sour I say!

Yes he has had abuse in the past and sometimes we go too far as fans. However in recent times he has been seen as one of the players fans love the most because of his feisty fighting qualities and drive.

What most people have noticed though is that over his managerial career Poch seems to come up with quality full backs like a hen produces eggs. So if any manager can plug the holes, created by losing Walker and now probably Rose, it is Poch

I really hope Pochettino called him in to his office and just looked at him with pure disappointment and told him just how naive he has been. The players these days are off their heads with the amount of money on offer, he talks about winning things etc but we know it's not about that, he wants a whopping pay rise from his already 60-70k a week!

I wish that players showed a little respect for the fans at times because most footballers earn more in one week than most fans earn in one year and yet we all still pay our hard earned money to watch these guys play for the team that we all love.

If he wants more money then so be it but keep it a private matter between him and the club, to go public with it like he has will just make everyone truly believe he is just an arrogant money grabbing pr*ck. He says he will never forget how some fans spoke about him, mate get over it, that's football and I'm sure you are big and brave enough to brush it off and instead of looking at those negatives, remember the positives of the whole stadium cheering your name at times last year.

Disappointed in the lad, but Spurs are way bigger than any player, and we have lost players who were more influential than Danny and yet still are one of the top teams in England.

Did he really get a heroes welcome from the players. If so, we will have a lowly motivated team for the start of the season. This is a nightmare

Exactly. Players hate things coming out of the dressing room into the public eye. It destroys secrecy and loyalty amongst team mates. I suspect they are bewildered.

Hertyid on coys says the same thing:

Assuming my guy isn't lying to me, he certainly didn't receive a hero's welcome, the opposite in fact.

I've seen no quotes from any player to support Rose. I don't expect any. Media just love jumping on a bandwagon.

Bloody hope so, going out and putting in a great performance and winning handsomely on Sunday is the best response to all this noise.

I find it hard to believe and assume it's shit stirring from the rags, if thats the case I hope the club call them out on it. IF it's true then we're in a bit of trouble going forward...

Has it not occurred to you that the club's response to a public embarrassment is to bring it back into private, keep dignified in the face of the media circus and not fan the flames?

There's no need to be rude but I disagree that this is the best approach.

The club are creating a divide with the fans again with this situation, transfers and the ticketing debacle.

The most important thing for Tottenham is the fans and they've got a very big stadium to fill this year.

Staying silent will just indicate to most fans that the problems are real and serious.

The club needs to come out and put the fire out before it gets too big.

Unfortunately, as we saw with brexit, this country has quite a large dim witted contingent and will just believe everything the Sun says. Silence fuels the flames, not coming out and fending it off straight away.

Poch has got the best out of this team for a reason - team has players who are thorough & committed professionals. Just because Rose has turned unprofessional, do not mean everyone would be happy to welcome & pat on his back.

They all may want more salary - but I would tend to think, they would keep it to themselves, than openly starting a revolt.

I am going to believe Graham Roberts & Pleattys version on this, than bandwagon rhetoric from media with no quotes - for all we know they may have got this from few of the players agents, who may have an underlying agenda

Having said that, Levy needs to start realising all the hard work will go waste if he doesnt pull his finger out & start paying the market rate salary for players. Apparently Gray is now on 95k a week - Dele on 45k a week. He may not show it outright, but would be pissed off on knowing it.

Not overly sure where I was rude...

I reckon they will now for two reasons. The 5 1 two seasons ago and the wrath of Poch. He must be breathing fire.

Don't buy that for a second personally. People may have clapped him seeing as he was back from injury, but I doubt there a rebellion at the club.

Perhaps he was desperate to get it through to the management that they need to do something about transfers before it's too late for this window? An act born out of sheer frustration.
If it was only that, trying to spur some action, he failed miserably. Then we return back to my main criticism of his interview, he showed a lack of understanding of how one actually uses the media. If only it is about new incomings, the response now would be "who does he think he is, Danny Rose doesn't decide the transfer strategy".

I reckon the Walker deal did it. He's seen what City have done since, how much Walker is on and there's no way them two haven't spoken to each other. Walker would be crowing about how incredible it is at City and the calibre of players etc etc.

We had ITK that he has twice been told he's going nowhere, which suggests he asked to leave. Considering he took a dig at the fans he's obviously been stewing on this for a long time and I do think the Walker deal is the moment he realised he had to kick up an almighty fuss to get what he wants - a big money move.
Yes, he has been stewing over this for a long time, and yes the topic of him leaving has obviously already been addressed internally. It's just a shame that the season is around the corner. This shit timing paired for the club paired with the shit publicity for him is mind-boggling.

I think many of you are reading to literally into the word "applaud". My take is that the players didn't actually applaud as in clap, but are more likely privately agreeing and behind what Danny says. Big difference and if we are all being honest here, Danny was 100% spot on. The only thing he screwed up on was the timing and method.

How apt. Do you work for The Sun ? ;)

It may very well be but the hate for it has spilled onto other media outlets that are reporting the same thing. Perhaps i should have wrote media. My mistake. The point is valid though. We are hating the media and players in this thread because they want to be paid more and want to feel like they are being backed by their employer. Who wouldnt want that? I understand this is now a hot button topic on here because dear leader has been called out publicly but maybe, just maybe, Danny Rose and the other players(if the latest media reports are correct) have a valid point in what they are saying. The timing sucks but giess what also sucks? The fact we got weaker by selling the best right back in the league to a league rival a fucking month ago and havent replaced him. The fact we still havent signed one player(only professional club in England to not sign anyone so far). The players want quality additions to spur them on and push us to the title and they also want to be paid alittle closer to market rate. Is that so horrible to justify this type of shit being spewed on here?

"PAY US MORE MONEY."

"BUT ALSO PAY FOR NEW PEOPLE AND PAY THEM. BUT MAYBE NOT AS MUCH AS ME, BECAUSE I'M A PRECIOUS SNOWFLAKE."

Wouldn't like to work for any business you ever went near. Or to generally be anywhere near the negative energy that pervades every single one of your posts.
