Yeah, way up North at Chelsea. Here we go.
"Sky Sources" Say he wants to join Chelsea or United this summer. On TV now.
So you accept we are not one of the big boys then, maybe that's what Danny is highlighting, maybe he wants to play for one of the big boys and wants us to be one of them. The big boys can't beat us on the pitch so they are doing it off it
What a wee wanker, such a shit move especially to pull it on Poch after what hes done to Rose's game.Thing is the players know the only way out is if the manager wants you out. Best way to do that? Go public, we all know Poch hates stuff being done through the media.
I think he is trying to force Poch's hand here tbh, and knowing the manager it might well work.
Maybe he should have put 'Rich Boys', instead. More accurate. So you accept we are not one of the big boys then, maybe that's what Danny is highlighting, maybe he wants to play for one of the big boys and wants us to be one of them.
I'm not having a pop, I actually think you have put your finger on our predicament.
We are at a crossroads and have some huge choices to make as a club.

Nothing has happened this week except this interview. This week has been 1 big clusterfuck

Poch has said nothing of the sort. He's said we'll bring in players, and improve the squad, but has explained why we have to wait in the window. We're not like City, we can't just spend whatever. And we're looking for players who are up for the fight, not mercenaries who just want the paycheque. Poch has been explaining the situation, not putting pressure on Levy IMO.Apologies if this has already been thrown out there, but hasn't Poch said much the same himself to the press in recent weeks? Okay, perhaps he used more diplomatic language. But, I'd reason it doesn't take a genius to figure out that there is currently a stand off of sorts between the football men and the money men. Is it beyond our imagination that Danny Rose has been 'encouraged' to voice his concerns to the biggest tabloid daily in Britain a few days before the start of the season?
That would be the best outcomePlenty of time yet - we could be nuked into dust before Friday thanks to Trump and North Korea. #everycloud
I'd be tempted if Utd could be coaxed into parting with Shaw and Martial at the very least, maybe even extra cash or Fosu-Mensah. Would give us an instant replacement at LB who knows the demands of Poch and his systems, look how Wanyama settled so quickly, plus would also give us that pacy forward we've been looking for. I'd be disappointed to lose both previous first choice full backs, and it would grate a bit that we'd been leveraged into selling a little bit, but coming out of it with significantly better depth and balance would help significantly.
For those that may question Shaw's fitness after injury, do we know Danny Rose will make a full recovery after so long out?
Straight swap for Shaw and Martial and I'd be tempted. Two players with a point to prove at least
Some valid points but don't go to the press - keep it in-house.
'Minimal' - hardly. He needs some perspective. He's paid in the top 5% of players in the world and gets somewhere between £1.5 and £2 million into his bank account each year after tax etc. He has a 5 year contract so that's £7.5-£10 million. That will set him up for life quite easily.
If it hadn't been for his current manager he would be earning less and playing for a mid table team. No coincidence that the careers/form of Shaw, Chambers, Lovren and others has deteriorated after moving on from Poch.
I am baffled by the sheer stupidity of his thought process. He contradicts himself in every other sentence. Like he claims we had two great players for every position under Redknapp but we never finished higher than 4.I've slept on it... and woke up with a thought.
He keeps talking about the future at the club.
"We want to win the league at Wembley",
"I’d love to see more signings. It would lift me seeing a top player come through the door."
It's weird, really weird, he slags off everyone but talks about what he'd like to do at the club. I just don't get, I don't he's fallen out of love with the club and wants to stay, for this season at least. I'm not really sure what the point of this interview was. Unless The Sun paid him shitloads to do it.
