This!

And if you don't agree. Please stop looking through rose tinted glasses.
I love THFC as much as the next man. But I'm also realistic and angry and frustrated about how DL doesn't now want to kick on to the next level. Player wise, facilities wise and the current financial times wise. There is no better time.
I do not believe we can't afford it nor do I believe that he is stopping us from going bust.
I can only think he's preparing to sell at some point in the next few years and thinking of the extra profit

Dude, you're entitled to your onions but regarding the bit in bold have you not noticed the building site where WHL used to be?

Whatever. Petty from the club. Shows they really dont give a shit. Fans like it though since Rose apparently ripped them(he spoke the truth, btw). But Rose nailed it on every thing he said. Cant hate a man for being honest and truthful.

You have such a strange take on things.

Well, even though I laughed at it, I agree with you. I'm one of those who actually agree with most of the things Rose said.

Our wages to turnover ratio (accidental Sherwood) is just over 50% which is regarded as healthy. The other top clubs (bar Chelsea at 68%) operate at roughly the same. So when people argue that we can afford more without it being a problem, what do they see that some of us don't? Genuinely asking.

Are our FBs tapped?

But in any case, I respect Walker now more FFS... At least he kept quiet till after he left!

To even get to the situation where players at West Ham, Everton and other lesser teams are getting paid more than ours it was always going to end in tears.
I'm flabbergasted why anyone is surprised.
We all hoped that with this amazing team we've got that the club would start paying them top wages and go on and even improve.
We haven't/won't.
So depressing. Walker gone, Rose going, unrest in the changing room.
Make no mistake, Walker was just the beginning. The biggest mistake we could of made was selling him to Man City.
Walker went for the wages.
Rose wants to go for the money.
Players know that all they have to do is kick up and another club is going to double/treble their wages.
We will not be able to keep hold of our best players from now on and they know it.
Then on top of that we don't sign even one player in the summer showing a complete lack of ambition.
Depressing times.
Oh but didnt you know, if we spend the money we have(and we have loads of it), we'll risk going into administration?
*i believe thats the new line the bsodl's are trying out*

BD was part of a team who did really well in the second half of last season.

This, Davies played every game in our longest winning streak in PL history, our post-January form was sensational. Rose is still a better player but Davies has really stepped up, as does pretty much every full back that has played for Pochettino since he came to England...

I'm probably going to be shot down in flames, but I actually think what Rose has done is spot on.
He is only saying what everyone already knows, certainly amongst the supporter base and inside the club. Surely everybody is sick of losing our best players and seeing the club buy players we have to Google - I know I have been for years.
Levy has gotten away with it for far too long and its about time that someone actually called him out on it.
Now is time for Levy to pay up or p**s off.
As supporters, we pay some of the most expensive prices for tickets and merchandise, yet get sub standard product in return, with constant promises about the future. This has been the case for 30 years!
I want trophies. I don't want our best players always leaving. I want them paid what they deserve, at market rate, to then stay and win. So does Rose - is that so bad?
What about the ridiculous waste of money on players like Sissoko last year? £30m? Beyond laughable. For every Alli or Dier, there are a catalogue of N'Jie's or Sissoko's. Its always the same old tosh. Levy will never likely change and should go, but at least if more people start calling him out publicly, something might improve.
We should all be sick of it and roundly applaud Rose for speaking out and telling Levy exactly what he thinks.
Even if no-one else does, I salute you Mr Rose!

Well I don't know, maybe the aggregated profit of 107 millions in 2014-2016?
Maybe the fact the the club is filthy rich, despite the stadium building half-truth?
Maybe the fact that the actual market value of the squad is many times higher than the value in the annual accounts? (And therefor "doing a Leeds" is impossible)

We were flying, Vorm could've played left back and we'd have been winning games. Davies is a completely fine left back but Rose is one of the best in Europe.

I can just about handle the we'll be fine Trippier will step up but a Trippier/Davies full back combo is a monumental step down and in my opinion with Wembley factor too completely ends any chance of winning anything.

Despite all the horrible shit going on in the world at the mo, 2017 seems to have become the year where wanting to have your cake and eat it and then get a free slice of extra cake became the norm. Andy Reid will be gutted he retired.

Ehh.... let's not be daft. Yes Davies is not as good as Rose - nobody is saying otherwise but to dismiss his impact since Rose got injured is ridiculous.

Maybe it's a good time to sell Rose anyway. Discontent, injury prone player who's not contributing to the squad morale. 70M and Mourinho may have a seat at Levy's table?

This would make more sense if we hadn't just have had a massive shambles on the RB front. Had Pereira (or AN Other) came in shortly after Walker left and was looking mustard then this would make more sense.

Shaw and cash for Rose would certainly get me thinking, but in the end it is giving Rose what he wants, and that's not a good precedent to set going forward. Down to Poch and Levy now, but I hope they are aware of all the implications of any potential deal. Blatantly obvious this is a reaction to Walker getting his move...
