oobaties, that's all over the ITK thread now. nice one though
Of course Bent'll score at Sunderland.
They won't have teams sitting deep and forcing him to play in a.n.other way which he clearly cannot do very well...
I will always appreciate the extra effort he put into his game from the CCF on, he really did hit a short spell where it looked like he was actually able to work the line, run people down and play (a tiny bit) with his back to goal...
17.17 Sky Sports News understands Darren Bent has pulled out of Tottenham's pre-season tour of China at the last minute. It is thought his purported move to Sunderland is gathering pace.
Wish him all the best. He scored ten goals away from home in the league last season that's more than Defoe and Crouch can manage home and away, but that's our new "prolific" partnership so be it.
Darren Bent stepped off Tottenham's plane to China shortly before take-off after his move to Sunderland was revived in dramatic fashion. Bent was in his seat when the call came to stay behind, and the team's departure for Beijing was held up while his luggage was removed.
The striker had been cleared earlier in the day to join his team-mates for the Asia Trophy when Sunderland pulled out of the deal, unhappy over Redknapp's refusal to budge over an asking price of about £16.5m.
Bent was told the deal was back on after Sunderland came back with a £14m offer, which includes an initial £9m fee plus add-ons.
I just want to echo much of what has been said here already, I fear he will do very well at Sunderland.
I really expected Harry to put his arm around DB and tell him he was the greatest striker on earth, alongside Defoe (injury aside) I thought they would prove to be an awesome pairing.
Oh well good luck DB I am sure youll do well up there I just hope Crouch + Defoe stay fit and do the business for us.
9m plus addons!?!
*Growl, snap, chew, chew, swallow!!!
Just tasted hand up to the elbow there
Just seen crouchy at the training ground wish him all the best. As for me Medical at sunderland tomorrow. Can't wait to get started
