Diogo Costa is my 1st choice but I've just seen Raya was born on the 15th September which is the same as me so that's my mind made up.

His contract is up Summer 2024 as well so with just 1 year left in the Summer, we could probably pick him up for a reasonable price.

As good as Costa is he would cost a fortune and we need HG players

I think we could easily port the “Hugo” chant to both “Davo” and “Raya”.

I’m in.

Costa did not impress in the WC, watched him to see what the hype was about and was not impressed.

I have been beating his drum for some time. Sanchez or Raya was my earlier choice but more Sanchez plays more unreliable he seems. Raya has very good distribution but is more measured.

Personally, I’d be going for Pickford.

Raya is a good ‘ball playing’ keeper, but on the shorter scale. Doesn’t necessarily mean that much, but a keeper who can play with their feet and around the 6’3/6’4 mark (crossing, agility and positioning for spreads and blocks) along with shot stopping is where I’d be looking at.

I'd be happy with either but I think I'd go for Pickford too. He's really grown into a top keeper and I like his mentality. Seems a real competitor and has done well for England in big tournaments.

Average shot stopper, superb distribution (which is why people often rate him when they watch him because it’s the more obvious trait).

Good HG option and generally the keeper market is quite weak atm so could do far worse

I'm coming around to the idea of Pickford. He has good distribution, a very good shot stopper too. I think he gets unfair criticism it's easy at times being England's No.1

Always assumed Meslier would be our new keeper at some point, albeit he'd be pretty expensive given age and contract length.
