Mike Maignan for me 7 days a week. But no idea if that’s even an option.

Raya, Henderson, Pickford, Kelleher … if we go for HG status for the GK position, they’re all decent/good (but not 100% perfect) options.
Maignan would be my number one pick too. He's got absolutely everything. Raya would be a fantastic option too though, and has the advantage of being Premier League proven and settled in London.

I think getting a ball-playing keeper is probably our most important signing of the summer.

There hasn't been a single link to Maignan and why would he want to come here at this point in time? You're truly setting yourself up for disappointment if you believe he's an option.

Would be very very happy with Raya.

Agree. Would take an awful lot of convincing (read: money) to get him to swap Milan, CL semi-finalists and CL next year for us, with no European competition next year at all.

Raya is a big upgrade, good shotstopper, good with ball at feet and hasn’t shown a propensity for regular screw ups. Happy with him as an option, never been a big fan of Pickford.

Good with his feet and likes to claim crosses from what I've seen, but seems to struggle with shots from range. That's just the eye test though so stats may dispute this

Difficult to argue with these stats

Is this another potential signing that everyone thinks should wait until a manger and DoF is in place, or should we go in quickly and decisively (which, of course, we are famed for) ?

Brentford signing of replacement has been confirmed. Strange to see a team calmly going about their business in a logical fashion - is that allowed??

Want him desperately but I think for the greater good the structure has to be in place and we have to value it by sticking to it. Not saying it has to be a manager decides everything but simply just a structure that is stuck to. I think being disciplined and not signing players before the DoF/Manager is sorted would actually encourage us to sort the manager sooner rather than having our attention pulled to these matters.

I'd be absolutely gutted if we miss out on him though but if it meant we actually set some standards then so be it. It's a bit like self respect I think.

Take your pick. According to some, everything should be on hold, presumably including making Kulusevski permanent and trying to get Kane to sign a new deal. I'd be happy enough if we signed Raya straight away tbh but then as soon as he makes a mistake he'll be labelled as a 'club signing' who the manager never wanted. Strange times.

With you re: signing Raya. Right price, playstyle fits the direction the game is going (and what the club claims to want).

Less worried about our next manager publicly labelling players as "club signings." Plenty concerned about getting the hire right, but Conte (and to an extent Mou) is such an outlier in terms of being an asshole of a personality that I think we can be confident that our next hire will at a minimum refrain from airing that sort of thing publicly (and who knows, might even work with the talent they are given).

Was really talking about fans labelling players as 'club signings'. It became a topic loads of people cottoned onto rightly or wrongly. It's been mostly attributed to Conte although I never heard him talk about it.

We should sign this guy regardless of a DOF or manager. He's a goalkeeper who's decent overall. If it was a different position outfield, I can understand that argument, but as a keeper he's perfect for any manager in the modern game.

I think it makes perfect sense to sign him, so there’s absolutely no chance of that happening.

Pro tip: if you don’t want your super-manager to call you out in public, don’t buy players he doesn’t want or ask for just because you think they are a bargain.

Anyway, hopefully Ange/Lucho/Franky/Mase/Rubes/Olly G like the look of Raya because he ticks most boxes
